Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response is significantly under-length at only 97 words, failing to meet the 150-word minimum requirement. This severely limits the ability to fully address the task. While you have attempted to identify some main features, such as the total visitor numbers and satisfaction levels, the analysis is incomplete. The response stops abruptly after the first paragraph, meaning the 'after' period is not described, and no meaningful comparisons between the two years are made. To improve, you must ensure you cover all parts of the prompt, including a clear overview and a detailed comparison of the data for both periods.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The response lacks a clear structure due to its incomplete nature. While there is an attempt at an introduction and a body paragraph, the abrupt ending prevents the development of a logical flow. Cohesive devices are used in a very basic and repetitive manner (e.g., 'Also', 'Although'). Paragraphing is present but ineffective because the second paragraph is left unfinished. To achieve a higher score, you need to organize your ideas into distinct paragraphs—an introduction, an overview, and two body paragraphs—and use a wider range of linking words to connect your points smoothly.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. You rely on basic terms like 'number of', 'maximum', and 'minimum'. There are also errors in word formation and usage, such as 'not response' instead of 'no response' or 'did not respond', and 'satisfied the museum' instead of 'satisfied with the museum'. The spelling of 'Ashdowm' (Ashdown) is also incorrect. To improve, focus on using more precise vocabulary related to data description, such as 'figures', 'proportions', 'fluctuated', or 'remained stable', and ensure you use the correct grammatical forms of the words you choose.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The grammar is frequently inaccurate, which hinders clarity. There are consistent errors in subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'The table illustrate' instead of 'illustrates') and tense usage (e.g., 'the total number of visitors is' when describing past data). Sentence structures are simple and lack the complexity required for higher bands. There are also missing articles and prepositions throughout the text. To improve, practice using a mix of simple and complex sentence structures and pay close attention to basic grammatical rules, particularly verb tenses and subject-verb agreement, which are essential for clear communication.
