Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have successfully identified the main features of the data, including the total visitor numbers and the shift in satisfaction levels. However, the response lacks a clear overview or summary statement that synthesizes the trends. While you mention the figures, you could improve by explicitly contrasting the 'before' and 'after' states—for instance, noting the significant reversal from dissatisfaction to satisfaction. The data is presented accurately, but the report would benefit from a more analytical approach rather than simply listing the percentages for each category. Ensure you highlight the most striking changes to fully meet the requirements of a high-band response.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The response is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the information. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and limited. For example, the transition between the visitor numbers and the survey results could be smoother. You rely heavily on simple sentence structures to connect ideas, which makes the flow feel a bit disjointed. To improve, try using a wider variety of linking words and phrases (e.g., 'In contrast,' 'Conversely,' 'Furthermore') to better connect your sentences and paragraphs, creating a more cohesive and professional flow throughout the report.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey the necessary information clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'refurbished,' 'surveys,' and 'percentages.' However, the range is somewhat limited, and there is some repetition of basic verbs like 'said' and 'were.' To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more varied and precise vocabulary to describe trends, such as 'experienced a significant increase,' 'shifted dramatically,' or 'the majority of respondents.' Additionally, ensure you use collocations correctly, such as 'did not give' instead of 'did not gave.'

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are several grammatical errors that occur throughout the text. For instance, 'an year after' should be 'a year after,' and 'did not gave' should be 'did not give.' There are also issues with article usage and subject-verb agreement, such as '5% people' (should be '5% of people'). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they do indicate a lack of control over more complex grammatical forms. Focusing on proofreading for basic tense and article errors will help improve your score.
