IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The table below shows the numbers of visitors to Ashdown Museum during the year before and the year after it was refurbished. The charts show the result of surveys asking visitors how satisfied they were with their visit, during the same two periods.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The table shows the number of visitors to Ashdown Museum before and after its refurbishment, while the pie charts illustrate the results of visitor satisfaction surveys during the same periods.
Overall, the number of visitors increased after the refurbishment. In addition, visitor satisfaction improved considerably, as the proportions of people who were very satisfied or satisfied increased, while dissatisfaction decreased.
Before the refurbishment, Ashdown Museum received 74,000 visitors. This figure rose to 92,000 in the following year, representing an increase of 18,000 visitors. Regarding satisfaction, 15% of visitors were very satisfied before the refurbishment, while 30% were satisfied. Therefore, almost half of the visitors gave a positive response. However, 40% were dissatisfied and a further 10% were very dissatisfied. The remaining 5% did not respond.
After the refurbishment, the percentage of very satisfied visitors more than doubled, rising from 15% to 35%. The proportion who were satisfied also increased from 30% to 40%. In contrast, dissatisfaction fell significantly. The percentage of dissatisfied visitors dropped from 40% to 15%, while the figure for very dissatisfied visitors decreased from 10% to 5%. The proportion giving no response remained unchanged at 5%.
