IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The table below shows the numbers of visitors to Ashdown Museum during the year before and the year after it was refurbished. The charts show the result of surveys asking visitors how satisfied they were with their visit, during the same two periods.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The table indicates the total number of visitors to Ashdown museum before repairment and after repairment. Meanwhile, the pie chart shows visitor satisfaction before and after refurbishment.

The total number of visitor after refurbishment has increased to 18,000. The result of survey showed that greater amount of visitors were very satisfied after refurbishment with a proportion of 35% as compared to earlier 15%. The graph also presents a positive increase from 30% to 40% in visitors that are only satisfied.The level of dissatisfied visitors have also fall from 40% to only 15%.Moreover, the level of very dissatisfied has also decreased from 10% to only 5%. However before and after refurbishment the percentage of no response have remained same.

Overall, the visitors valuable feedback helped significantly. It can be viewed that result after refurbishment have improved significantly.The results are tending to be more positive and beneficial towards Ashdown museum
