The table below shows the numbers of visitors to Ashdown Museum during the year before and the year after it was refurbished. The charts show the result of surveys asking visitors how satisfied they were with their visit, during the same two periods.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The table shows the number of visitors to Ashdown Museum during the year and after it was refurbished, while the pie chart illustrates the proportion how much visitors were satisfied with their visits during the two periods.

Overall, there were more number of people who were not satisfied. After a year of refurbishment, the ratio improved significantly with more visitors being extremely satisfied.

During refurbishment, there were 74,000 visitors, which increased by 18,000m to 92,000 during the period of reconstruction.

A year before renovation, 40% of visitors were dissatisfied, which decreased to only 15%. 10% folks who were extremely dissatisfied before renovation fell down to just 5%. Furthermore, 5% people gave no response to the survey during both the years.

Before refurbishment, 30% of visitors were satisfied while half of that ratio, which was 15% were perfectly content. The numbers increased to 40% and 35% respectively after a year of refurbishment.
