IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The table below shows the numbers of visitors to Ashdown Museum during the year before and the year after it was refurbished. The charts show the result of surveys asking visitors how satisfied they were with their visit, during the same two periods.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The table shows the number of visitors to Ashdown Museum before and after its refurbishment. The pie charts show how satisfaction visitors were during the same periods.
Overall, the number of visitors increased after the refurbishment. Also , visitors became more satisfaction.
Before the refurbishment, the museum had 74,000 visitors. After the refurbishment the number increased to 92,000. before the work 15% of visitors were very satisfied and 30% were satisfied . However , 40% were dissatisfied and 10% were very dissatisfied. 5% gave no response.
After the refurbishment, 35% were very satisfied and 40 % were satisfied. In contrast, only 15% were dissatisfied and 5 % were very dissatisfied The percentages of no response stayed at 5%.
in conclusion the museum attracted more visitors and satisfaction improved after the refurbishment.
