The table below shows the numbers of visitors to Ashdown Museum during the year before and the year after it was refurbished. The charts show the result of surveys asking visitors how satisfied they were with their visit, during the same two periods.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The table compares the total number of visitors to Ashdown Museum before and after refurbishment, while the accompanting pie charts provide information about the levels of visitors satisfaction. Overall, it is clear that the refurbishment of Museum brings a great benefit, as the number of visitors increase one later. Meanwhile, the highest percentage of visitors who was dissatisfied before refurbishment decline to less than half one year after renovation, with more people become satisfied in the same year.

The renovation of Ashdown Museum associate with considerable advantage, as the total number of people visiting the museum increase from 74,000 to 92,000 over one year. Mean while the people impression toward the museum change significantly, because the pecentags of visitors who was dissatisfied (40%) and very dissatisfied (10%) fall to 15 percent and 5 percent, respectively.

In addtion, the results of surveys demonstrated how the satisfaction level of visitors improve over the one year period. This was because the proportion of visitors who were satisfied rose by 10 percentage points from 30% to 40%, and the figure for very satisfied grew significantly from 15% to 35%. By contrast, the percentage of people who did not respond to the survery remained stable at 5 percent.
