Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

The student successfully covers all parts of the task by reporting the main features from both the table and the charts. The overview clearly highlights the key trends, noting that overall visitor numbers increased alongside a significant rise in visitor satisfaction after the refurbishment. Data points are accurately cited, such as the rise in total visitors from 74,000 to 92,000 and the change in 'very satisfied' visitors from 15% to 35%. The response adequately compares the two periods and provides a well-grounded summary of the visual data without introducing irrelevant outside information. Ideas are extended and supported effectively.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response is logically organised into four paragraphs: an introduction, an overall summary, and two body paragraphs detailing the before and after periods respectively. Information and ideas progress logically throughout the essay. Cohesive devices are used reasonably well, such as 'Overall', 'Before rennovation', and 'After rennovation', though referencing and transitions can occasionally feel a bit mechanical ('Finally', 'But vistors with no respons remained same'). Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate different parts of the visual data, ensuring the overall structure remains clear and easy to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary suitable for an academic task, attempting less common items such as 'proportion', 'refurbishment', and 'dissatisfaction'. However, there are several spelling errors throughout the text, including 'rennovation' instead of renovation, 'touristers' instead of tourists, 'dissaftisfaction', 'dissatisfation', and 'sattisfaction'. Word choice is sometimes awkward, such as 'normally satisfied' instead of 'satisfied', and 'higher dissatisfaction level'. Despite these lexical errors and spelling slips, communication is not impeded, and the vocabulary remains minimally sufficient for the task.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, such as 'The given table shows how many people visited...' and '...the pie charts illustrate the proportion of visitor's satisfaction level according to the survey conducted in both duration.' There are several grammatical errors and awkward phrasings, including subject-verb agreement issues ('the number of visitors were increased'), incorrect prepositions ('in both duration'), missing articles, and typos. Complex structures sometimes contain errors, but a sufficient number of error-free simple sentences are present to ensure the meaning remains clear to the reader.
