Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response successfully addresses all parts of the prompt by presenting an overview of the table and charts, and highlighting the main features and comparisons. For instance, you correctly noted the visitor numbers increasing from 74,000 to 92,000 and outlined the shifts in satisfaction levels. However, some parts of the task are handled less fully than others. The description of the survey data contains some slight inaccuracies in how figures are interpreted—such as stating 'around 15 people' instead of percentages—and some ideas are under-developed rather than fully extended. To reach a higher level, you should ensure all data points are interpreted with precise units and extend your comparisons between the two periods more thoroughly throughout the body paragraphs.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

Your response demonstrates a coherent overall arrangement with a clear logical progression from the introductory summary to the specific data points in the body paragraphs. You have used paragraphing appropriately to separate the table data from the survey findings. Cohesive devices are employed to guide the reader, such as 'Overall,' 'Before redevelopment,' and 'Conversely.' However, cohesion is at times a bit mechanical, and referencing can occasionally feel slightly disconnected between sentences. To improve further, you could use a wider and more sophisticated variety of cohesive links and ensure that transition phrases integrate your supporting details more smoothly without relying on repetitive sentence openings.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You have used an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items and descriptive verbs such as 'illustrates,' 'surged,' and 'remained constant.' However, there are some noticeable vocabulary and spelling errors, such as 'refurbushed' instead of refurbished and 'piecharts' written as one word. Furthermore, phrases like 'the satisfied level' show minor awkwardness in word choice and collocation rather than precise academic phrasing. To achieve a higher score, you should focus on expanding your range of precise synonyms for data reporting, improve your control over word forms, and carefully proofread your work to eliminate basic spelling slips that interrupt the flow of communication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The writing exhibits a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating a decent attempt at structures like relative clauses and comparative constructions. You show control over past and present simple tenses when reporting the visual data. Nevertheless, there are some errors in grammar and punctuation present throughout the response, such as missing articles ('the reconstruction of museum'), awkward prepositional use ('were on the satisfied group' instead of 'in the satisfied group'), and a punctuation error in the final paragraph ('Furthermore,he'). While these errors rarely impede overall communication, they prevent the text from achieving a higher level of grammatical accuracy. To progress, aim to incorporate a wider variety of error-free complex structures and refine your attention to articles and prepositions.
