Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

The response responds to the task only minimally and fails to meet the minimum length requirement of 150 words, stopping abruptly at just 89 words. While the student attempts to summarise the visual data by mentioning visitor numbers (quoting 70,000 instead of 74,000) and customer satisfaction levels, the selection of information is very limited and incomplete. Key trends and overall comparisons between the two periods are underdeveloped and fragmented, and the text trails off mid-sentence, leaving the summary unfinished.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

Information and ideas are not arranged coherently across the text. Although the student attempts an introductory overview with 'Overall, before renovation...', the progression breaks down quickly. Paragraphing is faulty and underdeveloped, featuring isolated sentences and an incomplete final thought. Cohesive devices are minimal, repetitive, and occasionally misused, such as 'Opposite to this', resulting in a disjointed structure that lacks a clear overall logical flow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, featuring noticeable errors that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. There are several lexical and word-form inaccuracies, such as 'befor' instead of before, 'largh' instead of large, 'updation' instead of updating or renovation, and 'dissatisfaction' used where the adjective dissatisfied is required. While basic terms like 'visitors', 'museum', and 'survey' are handled adequately, the range remains restricted and struggles to accurately convey the statistical data.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

There is a very limited range of grammatical structures, consisting mostly of simple or faulty attempts at complex sentences. Frequent errors occur in subject-verb agreement and singular-plural forms, such as 'The pictures shows' and '40 percent was dissatisfied', as well as missing articles. Punctuation and spacing errors are also present around commas and full stops, and the frequent grammatical slips can cause some difficulty for the reader in following the intended meaning.
