Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

The response successfully covers all parts of the task by reporting the main features from both the table and the pie charts. The visitor numbers for the year before (74,000) and after (92,000) refurbishment are clearly stated, and the satisfaction levels are compared effectively. However, some ideas remain slightly under-developed or repetitive, such as the detailed enumeration of every single satisfaction percentage without deeper synthesis. The overview is present at the end, capturing the primary shift in visitor volume and satisfaction trends, which reflects a solid standard of task coverage while leaving room for greater conciseness and integration.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response maintains a coherent overall arrangement with a clear progression from the table data to the survey charts, culminating in an overall concluding summary. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the introduction, table details, survey breakdown, and final overview. Cohesive devices are employed to link ideas, such as "Turning to the pie chart" and "As for as new refurbishment is concerned", though some linking phrases feel slightly mechanical or awkward in style. Referencing is generally clear, but smoother transitional phrasing would elevate the organizational flow to a higher standard.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, successfully conveying numerical data and survey percentages with terms like "refurbished", "dissatisfied", and "majority". However, there are noticeable lexical inaccuracies and awkward phrasing, such as "visited to Ashdown museum", "circular representation", and "As for as new refurbishment is concerned". Spelling and word choice errors do not impede communication, but they highlight a limited flexibility and occasional strain in handling less common vocabulary items precisely.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The writer demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, incorporating relative clauses and comparative constructions such as "while dissatisfied people experienced 15% of satisfaction level." There are some errors in grammar and punctuation, including missing articles ("Ashdown museum", "table chart"), prepositions ("visited to", "with before refurbishment"), and awkward passive/active constructions. These errors do not impede overall communication, but they occur with enough frequency to prevent the grammar score from reaching a higher band.
