Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

The response attempts to address the task by mentioning visitor numbers and survey results, but it does so only minimally and tangentially. While the writer touches on the general topic of the Ashdown Museum before and after refurbishment, the key data points—such as the exact visitor numbers (74,000 rising to 92,000) and the specific percentage shifts in satisfaction—are either omitted or reported inaccurately. The overview is very confused, stating 'In this graph show the survey of the two type', failing to provide a clear summary of the main trends. The bulleted or segmented sections of the text do not properly group or select the core features of the visual data, resulting in a response that fails to present a fully developed picture of the charts and table.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

Information and ideas are not arranged coherently in this response. The text lacks logical organization and a clear overall progression. Although the writer attempts to divide the text into sections like 'introduction', 'overview', 'Explain:', and 'Conculsion:', the transitions between sentences are weak and mechanical. Cohesive devices are either missing or misused, with repetitive conversational filler phrases such as 'and then we have tuck about' and 'we have discouse'. Paragraphing is non-traditional and disjointed, and referencing between sentences is often unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of information from the charts.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, employing a very limited range of words that are frequently misused or misspelled. Examples of inappropriate lexical choices and spelling errors include 'vistors' instead of visitors, 'satisfled', 'fist chat', 'vister', 'tuck about', 'does not giving', and 'boht chat'. These errors often strain the reader and obscure meaning. To progress, the writer needs to build a wider range of functional vocabulary specifically tailored for describing data, trends, and proportions, and pay closer attention to basic spelling and word formation.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

Grammatical structures are extremely limited, consisting mostly of poorly constructed simple sentences and faulty attempts at complex forms. There are frequent and severe errors in verb forms, tenses, subject-verb agreement, and prepositions, such as 'the below table shows the numbers of vistors to ashdown museum it was refurbished' and 'the visitors very satisfied ratio will be increase'. Punctuation is also poorly handled, with missing periods and erratic spacing. These frequent errors distort meaning and make the grammatical control fall well below what is required for higher bands.
