Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You cover the main elements of the task and identify the key overall changes: visitor numbers rose from 74,000 to 92,000, satisfaction improved, and dissatisfaction fell. The specific comparisons of very satisfied visitors (15% to 35%) and dissatisfied visitors (40% to 15%) are accurate and relevant. However, the overview is partly unclear: “the percentage of visitors were dicreased significantly” does not specify which category decreased, and the total number of visitors actually increased. You also say the very dissatisfied and no-response results showed no significant changes, but the former fell from 10% to 5%, while no response remained at 5%. Develop the overview more precisely and report the remaining categories clearly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic overall structure, moving from an introduction and overview to visitor totals and then survey results. This gives the reader a general route through the information. However, progression within paragraphs is not always clear, and several linking expressions feel mechanical or do not clarify the relationship between ideas. For example, “However the percentage of visitors were dicreased significantly” is vague, while “At the first chart” and “The first one” make the references imprecise. The final sentence also introduces an unclear conclusion rather than completing the comparison. Use distinct paragraphs for the overview and detailed figures, and connect each comparison directly to the category it describes.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “refurbishment,” “percentage,” “satisfied,” and “dissatisfied,” and the reader can generally understand the comparisons. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning difficult to follow. “At this pie chart” misidentifies the visual, “count of visitors” is unnatural, and “made the museum adorable” does not express the likely effect of refurbishment. There are also noticeable spelling errors, such as “infomation,” “satisfacation,” and “dicreased.” Choose precise chart language and check spelling; for example, describe visitor numbers as having “risen” and satisfaction as having “improved.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast with “However” and a clause beginning “That shows.” Nevertheless, errors in sentence formation and basic grammar are frequent enough to make some statements difficult to interpret. Examples include “At this pie chart it illustrate,” “you can to notice,” and “It was increased significantly”; these contain problems with subject–verb agreement, verb patterns, or passive construction. Articles and plural forms are also inconsistent, as in “the high roll” and “dissatisfied peoples.” Aim first for accurate, complete sentences: “The chart illustrates…” and “Visitor numbers increased…” Then practise combining accurate clauses, while checking agreement, verb forms, and punctuation.
