Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You cover both the visitor total and the satisfaction surveys, and several figures are accurate: visitors rose from 74,000 to 92,000, satisfaction increased from 30% to 40%, and dissatisfaction fell from 40% to 15%. You also note that no response remained at 5%. However, the overview is unclear and partly inaccurate: “the most visitors are very satisfied” does not describe the overall result, since the largest group after refurbishment was satisfied (40%), not very satisfied (35%). The phrase “many are not satisfied” also obscures the substantial fall in dissatisfaction. Some comparisons are difficult to follow, including the claim that very satisfied visitors “double” when the figure rose from 15% to 35%. State the main trends clearly, then report the figures precisely.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has an opening, an attempted overview and paragraphs containing comparisons, so the reader can identify the two periods being discussed. However, the progression is not consistently clear: the final paragraph returns to dissatisfaction after the previous paragraph has already moved between visitor totals and satisfaction categories. Long, loosely connected sentences, especially the one beginning “Firstly, the total number…”, make it hard to distinguish the figures and comparisons. Linking phrases such as “in contrast,” “in other hand,” and “furthermore” are sometimes used inaccurately or without a clear relationship between ideas. Organise the report into a clear overview followed by grouped comparisons, and use shorter sentences with precise references to each year.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to describing change, including “increased,” “decreased,” “remains unchanged,” and “after completion.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make the report difficult to read. For example, “abroad visitors” and “peoples coming around the world” are not natural ways to describe museum visitors, while “the most highest” is an incorrect form. Spelling errors such as “diaghram,” “aftrer,” “satisefied,” and “respone” are noticeable and reduce clarity. Choose standard chart-reporting language and check spelling carefully; accurate phrases such as “visitor numbers,” “the proportion of satisfied visitors,” and “fell to” would make the comparisons more precise.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

There are attempts to combine ideas using clauses and comparison structures, but the range is limited and complex sentences are often faulty. For example, “the total number … are 74000 visitors visit that place” has problems with subject–verb agreement and sentence construction, while “it double for very satisfied visitors” lacks a correctly formed verb phrase. Tense and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent, as in “dissatisfied customers percentage is 40% in the early year and after completion it decreased.” Missing capital letters and full stops further affect accuracy. Use a reliable past-tense pattern for both periods, such as “The proportion of dissatisfied visitors fell from 40% to 15%,” and check agreement, articles and punctuation in each sentence.
