Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You cover both the visitor total and the satisfaction survey, and the main comparisons are generally accurate: attendance rose from 74,000 to 92,000, while dissatisfaction fell from 40% to 15% and satisfaction increased. This gives the response a relevant overview and supports the key trends. However, the overview is unclear and does not bring the contrasting survey results together; “the highest data show” is difficult to interpret. Some details are also imprecise: “less dissatisfied” should refer to the very dissatisfied group, which fell from 10% to 5%, rather than increased. To strengthen the response, state clearly that attendance and positive ratings rose, while negative ratings declined, then report the categories with precise labels and comparisons.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and two paragraphs of supporting details. The sequence from visitor numbers to satisfaction categories is broadly logical, and linking expressions such as “To begin with,” “Furthermore,” and “Lastly” help signal progression. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, with several transitions added without clarifying the relationship between ideas. The overview is hard to follow, and references such as “this data” and “this ratio” are not always precise. Paragraphing could also group the positive ratings together and the negative ratings together, making the comparisons easier to track. Use fewer formulaic connectors and make each sentence’s subject explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt a range of vocabulary, including “drastically,” “plunged,” “proportion,” and “refurbishment,” and the reader can usually identify the intended trends. However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the data difficult to understand. For example, “data of explorer” does not describe visitor numbers, “reviews … how they satisfied” is not a natural way to introduce survey results, and “hiked” is too informal for this report. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “dramaticaly,” “statisifaction,” and “visirtors.” Prefer precise, standard chart language such as “number of visitors,” “satisfaction ratings,” “rose,” and “fell,” and check spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “whereas” and “who,” and the overall meaning is generally recoverable. However, sentence structures are often faulty, and errors in articles, agreement, tense, and punctuation make some statements difficult to read. For example, “the highest data show” lacks a clear grammatical subject, while “the visitors who had unsatisfied review … was” has problems with both the noun phrase and subject–verb agreement. Several sentences also run together after full stops, as in “74,000.Consequently.” Work on building clear subject–verb sentences, using past-tense forms consistently for the two periods, and separating sentences with correct spacing and punctuation.
