Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
You cover the main features and report the figures accurately: visitor numbers rose from 74,000 to 92,000, satisfaction increased, and dissatisfaction declined. The overview identifies the broad contrast, while the body gives useful comparisons, including the rise in very satisfied responses from 15% to 35% and the fall in dissatisfied responses from 40% to 15%. This is a clear, relevant summary of the visual information. To make the account more fully developed, state the overall survey pattern more precisely—for example, that satisfied or very satisfied responses became the majority after refurbishment—and avoid repeating the visitor increase in both the overview and body. Ensure each comparison is expressed clearly and completely.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and separate discussion of visitor numbers and survey results. Phrases such as “Turning to pie charts” help signal a change of focus, and the figures are generally presented in a sensible order. However, progression is weakened by the unfinished “However,” at the end of the overview and by repeated information about the rise in visitor numbers. Some linking phrases are awkward or do not clearly connect the comparison, such as “Moreover” before the fall in dissatisfaction. Group related survey changes into a clearer sequence and use transitions only where they show a genuine relationship. This would make the organisation easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant vocabulary for describing the charts, including “increased,” “fall,” “proportion,” and “category,” and the reader can identify the main comparisons. However, the range and control are limited by repeated or inaccurate word choices and several spelling errors, including “refubrishment,” “satishfied,” and “visted.” Some expressions are also unnatural, such as “number of visitors visited” and “satisfied of people.” Choose precise chart language and check spelling carefully; for example, use “visitor numbers” rather than repeating “people visited,” and “the proportion of dissatisfied visitors” rather than “dissatisfied of people reviews.” These improvements would make the report clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a range of sentence forms, including comparisons with “whereas” and clauses introduced by “which,” but control is inconsistent. Errors occur in basic sentence patterns and agreement: “number of visitors rise” needs a past-tense verb, and “There are rapid growth” has incorrect agreement. The opening phrase “the number of visitors visited” also lacks a grammatical construction for describing the figures. Punctuation and sentence boundaries need attention, particularly the unfinished “However,” and the run-together “drop. In both chart.” Use past tense consistently for the completed periods, check singular and plural agreement, and proofread each sentence for a complete subject–verb structure. More accurate simple sentences would help before adding complex clauses.
