Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You cover both the visitor total and the satisfaction surveys, and the figures of 74,000 and 92,000 are accurate. You also identify the broad improvement after refurbishment. However, several survey figures are misreported: before refurbishment, 15% were very satisfied and 30% satisfied, not 15% and 10%; 40% were dissatisfied and 10% very dissatisfied, not 40% and 30%. After refurbishment, the 5% very dissatisfied group is omitted. These errors weaken the accuracy of the report, and the overview that results were “very good” would be stronger if it clearly compared the rise in positive responses with the fall in dissatisfaction. Select and report the main trends accurately before adding detail.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic structure: an introduction, separate sections for the table and charts, and a concluding overview. “Firstly” and “secondly” help signal the shift between data sources. However, progression within the survey paragraph is difficult to follow because the figures are presented in a long sequence, with limited grouping or comparison between the two years. Some linking is repetitive, especially repeated references to “this visit,” and the final overview largely repeats the earlier information rather than synthesising it. Organise the survey data by contrasting positive and negative responses before and after refurbishment, and use clearer sentence boundaries and references to guide the reader.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant task vocabulary such as “refurbishment,” “visitors,” “surveys,” and “satisfied,” so the topic remains understandable. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repetitive or imprecise, including “people are not satisfied i this visit” and “people are not response for this visit.” There are also noticeable spelling errors, such as “wae,” “bedore,” and “satisdied,” which reduce accuracy. Aim for standard chart-reporting collocations and distinguish clearly between “dissatisfied” and “very dissatisfied.” More precise vocabulary would make the comparisons easier to understand and give the report a more appropriate academic tone.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

Most sentences use simple patterns, and the reader can generally identify the intended meaning. However, grammatical errors occur frequently and sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. For example, “the table give information” has subject–verb disagreement, while “During the year before refurbishment visitors numbers are 74000” has awkward tense and sentence structure. The sentence beginning “and refurbishment after this number is increasing” is also incomplete or poorly formed. Punctuation and spacing are inconsistent, including missing spaces after full stops and sentence fragments in the survey section. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then combine comparisons using controlled clauses such as “The number rose from … to …” and “while the proportion … fell.”
