Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You report the main figures for both periods, including the rise in visitors from 74,000 to 92,000 and the shift in satisfaction responses. The comparisons that dissatisfaction fell from 40% to 15% and satisfaction rose are relevant and supported by the chart. However, there is no clear overview that draws these changes together, and some details are inaccurate or confusing: after refurbishment, the 5% figure applies to “no response,” not very satisfied visitors, which you describe as 35% elsewhere. The response also does not clearly distinguish the two satisfaction categories when summarising the overall change. A concise overview highlighting increased attendance and improved satisfaction, followed by accurate category comparisons, would make the report more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a basic overall arrangement: it introduces the visuals, discusses the year before refurbishment, and then moves to the year after. Phrases such as “Now turning the details” and “after the refurbishment” signal these shifts, so the reader can generally follow the comparison. However, the paragraphs are long and the information within them is crowded together, with several figures and categories joined in single sentences. Some linking and reference are unclear, particularly “they both can be stand 5%,” which makes it difficult to identify the categories being compared. Use a separate overview and organise each period’s figures more clearly; connect comparisons directly rather than relying on repeated transition phrases.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt a range of task-related vocabulary, including “proportion,” “accounted for,” “recorded,” and “increased dramatically.” These choices show an effort to describe data rather than simply list it. However, the range is limited by repeated use of “percentage,” “visitors,” and “amount,” and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, such as “much satisfied,” “the very less number,” and “gived no response.” Spelling errors—including “tourits,” “Mesum,” and “disssatisfied”—also make the report less clear and polished. Build a reliable set of expressions for proportions and changes, and check spelling and word forms carefully before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with clauses, for example the sentence beginning “It is clearly seen that after the refurbishment…”. However, control is weak: many sentences contain errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, or sentence boundaries. Examples include “The charts demonstrates,” “visitors gived,” and “the percentage … are remained same.” The opening also runs two sentences together without a space after the full stop, while several long sentences are joined without clear punctuation, making relationships between ideas harder to follow. Practise accurate simple comparison sentences first, then combine them using controlled clauses. Check subject–verb agreement and past-tense forms, and use full stops to separate distinct data points.
