Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You identify the two periods and report the visitor totals accurately: 74,000 before refurbishment and 92,000 after. You also note that dissatisfaction was the largest category before the work, at 40%. However, the response covers the survey results only partially: it stops before describing the after-refurbishment figures, which show satisfaction rising and dissatisfaction falling. The overview is unclear and includes a misleading claim about “very dissatisfaction” after refurbishment; the largest group then was satisfied, at 40%. The response is also 17 words below the required minimum. To make the summary more complete, state the main overall changes and compare the key satisfaction categories in both years.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is a basic attempt to organise the response into an introduction, an overview and two detail sections, and phrases such as “Overall,” “First of all” and “Second” signal stages in the discussion. However, progression is difficult to follow because the overview is unclear and the final sentence, “second pie chart is increse then,” is unfinished. Connections between ideas are sometimes awkward or missing, as in “However, tourist no reponse or very dissatisfied…” The repeated sequencing words do not create a clear comparison between the two years. Use one paragraph for the overview and separate, complete paragraphs for visitor totals and survey changes, linking each figure explicitly to its year.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The response uses some task-related vocabulary, including “visitor satisfaction,” “proportion,” “dissatisfied” and “survey,” so the topic is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or misspelled expressions make the meaning harder to understand: “tourist visit,” “very disssatisfaction,” “no reponse” and “satisfied tourist approximetly.” Some word combinations are also unnatural, such as “highest event visit tourist.” Choose precise terms for people and survey categories, and check spelling carefully. For example, describe the number of visitors rather than “event visit tourist,” and use “very dissatisfied” as the category label. A wider, more accurate set of comparison verbs would also help report the changes clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt several sentence forms, including a contrast with “but” and a time reference to the period before and after refurbishment. However, frequent errors in sentence construction and basic grammar often obscure the intended meaning. For example, “The table chart provide information” has subject–verb disagreement, while “during the year priord and the year after” lacks a clear grammatical structure. The overview fragment beginning “while visitor…” is not a complete sentence, and the final clause is also unfinished. Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, including “First of all, The tale…” and missing spaces after full stops. Practise writing complete subject–verb sentences, then check articles, agreement and sentence boundaries.
