Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You identify the broad comparison that visitor numbers rose and refer to satisfaction results, but the report only partially covers the main features and contains important inaccuracies. The total increased from 74,000 to 92,000, not to 97,000, and the increase was 18,000 rather than 17,000. You also confuse the satisfaction categories: before refurbishment, 30% were satisfied and 15% very satisfied; after refurbishment, these figures rose to 40% and 35%. Dissatisfaction fell from 40% to 15%, while no response stayed at 5%. The overview that visitor numbers increased is relevant, but saying dissatisfaction was “minimum” after refurbishment is imprecise. The response is also 28 words below the required minimum, limiting the detail provided.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some basic organisation: the opening introduces the charts, the next section discusses visitor totals, and “Overall” signals a concluding summary. However, the progression is not consistently clear because the satisfaction figures are compressed into a confusing sentence: “only 15% people were satisfied and double percent of satisfied individuals almost 30%.” The relationship between the categories and the two years is difficult to follow. Linking phrases such as “To begin with” and “Furthermore” are attempted, but they do not create a clear sequence of comparisons, and the final overview repeats rather than clarifies the main trends. Group the information into a brief introduction, an overview, and a paragraph comparing the key figures before and after.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-related vocabulary, including “total number of visitors,” “refurbishment,” “satisfied,” and “dissatisfied,” so the topic is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make the meaning unclear. “Charge for the result of satisfied people” does not accurately describe survey results, while “result of services of visitors satisfaction” is not a natural way to refer to satisfaction ratings. “Double percent” and “maximum” are also imprecise in this context. Choose standard chart language and use the category labels consistently, such as “the proportion who were satisfied” and “the number of visitors increased.” This would make the comparisons clearer and more appropriate for an academic report.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts a few longer sentences, but grammatical control is uneven and errors frequently make the comparisons hard to interpret. For example, “before refurbishing year was 74,000” lacks a clear grammatical subject and uses an awkward time construction; “the numbers had a Difference of 17,000 increased” has faulty word order and verb structure. In “15% people were satisfied,” a necessary grammatical link is missing, and “no response was similar in after and before refurbishment” has an unclear sentence pattern. Most sentences rely on simple structures or become inaccurate when extended. Build reliable comparison patterns first—for example, “The figure rose from X to Y,” and “The proportion who were dissatisfied fell from X% to Y%”—then check articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries.
