the table and the pie charts demonstrate the changes in number of visitors before and after the refurbishment of the Ashdown Museum, all with a difference of am year in between.
the total number of visitors have significantly increased after the refurbishment as compared to previous, with a growing majority of survey respondants saying that they were incredibly satisfied.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
You identify the main overall changes accurately: visitor numbers rose from 74,000 to 92,000, while satisfaction improved, with dissatisfaction falling. The figures you give for each survey category match the charts, and you make relevant comparisons rather than listing data without comment. However, the overview is brief and partly repeats details that are then given again; it could more clearly summarise the dominant shift from mostly dissatisfied responses before refurbishment to mostly satisfied responses afterwards. The response also does not meet the required 150 words, which limits the opportunity to select and explain the key features fully. Add a little more detail about the overall survey pattern and organise it into a fuller summary.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response follows a generally sensible order: it introduces the visuals, gives an overview, and then reports visitor totals and survey changes. This makes the information understandable. However, it is presented as one continuous block, with no clear paragraphing to distinguish the overview from supporting details. Some links are also awkward or repetitive: “after the refurbishment” and “after refurbishment” recur, while “despite the no response portion remaining the same” interrupts the comparison rather than integrating it smoothly. Use separate paragraphs for the overview and details, and connect related survey changes in a more deliberate sequence. This would create clearer progression and reduce the impression of a list of figures.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use a suitable range of task vocabulary, including “refurbishment,” “net increase,” “portion,” and “dropped,” and the meaning is generally clear. Some choices, however, are imprecise or unnatural for a formal data summary. “Incredibly satisfied” adds an unsupported degree of emotion, while “dropped whoppingly” is informal and does not collocate naturally with a percentage. “Survey respondants” also contains a spelling error, and “all with a difference of am year in between” is unclear. Prefer neutral, precise language such as “very satisfied,” “fell sharply,” and “one year apart.” More consistent use of standard chart-reporting vocabulary would improve accuracy and formality.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a comparison introduced by “despite” and a participial phrase in “leading to a net increase.” The main figures remain understandable, but grammatical control is uneven. For example, “the total number of visitors have” has subject–verb disagreement; “as compared to previous” lacks a clear noun or reference; and “the portion for satisfied and very satisfied grew” has an awkward structure because it refers to two categories. The opening sentence also has an unclear construction around “all with a difference … in between.” Check agreement, articles and sentence completeness, and make comparisons grammatically parallel. These revisions would make the relationships between figures easier to follow.
