Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify the main increase in attendance, from 74,000 to 92,000, and report several satisfaction figures accurately, including the 15% very satisfied and 30% satisfied before refurbishment. However, the response addresses the task only partially: it gives no account of the post-refurbishment survey results, so the key shift towards greater satisfaction is not properly described or compared. The statement that satisfaction “led to” higher attendance also suggests a causal link that the charts do not establish. The response contains 94 words, below the required 150, and this limits the detail and coverage. Include the after-refurbishment figures and summarise the main contrast: satisfied or very satisfied responses rose, while dissatisfaction fell.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic, recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and a paragraph about the year before refurbishment. This gives the reader some direction, and the figures in the final paragraph relate to the stated topic. However, progression is limited because the account stops before describing the second period, leaving the comparison incomplete. Cohesion within the final paragraph is also weak: “40% 10% very dissatisfied” does not clearly show which figure belongs to which category, and the sentence beginning “majority” is not smoothly connected to the preceding details. Develop a separate paragraph for the after-refurbishment results and use clear links such as “by contrast” or “after refurbishment” to guide comparisons.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “refurbished,” “satisfaction,” “attendance,” and “dissatisfied,” so the topic is generally clear. There are also attempts to vary wording, such as “renovation” and “visitor experience.” However, several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision: “tourists vists” is inaccurate, “Guest” is not the most suitable term for survey respondents, and “where satisfied” appears to be an incorrect form of “were.” The phrase “satisfied/ very satisfied” is informal and imprecise for a report. Use consistent terms such as “visitors” or “respondents,” and describe the categories as “satisfied or very satisfied.” Check spelling carefully, especially in the opening sentence.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a few sentence forms, including an overview sentence with a comparison (“from 74,000 to 92,000”) and a longer sentence reporting survey results. However, the range is limited, and errors in sentence construction and punctuation are frequent enough to make some details difficult to follow. For example, “The table present” has subject–verb disagreement, while “majority of the guest were dissatisfied,40% 10% very dissatisfied” lacks a clear sentence structure and punctuation. The fragment “only 15% very satisfied, 30% satisfied” also needs a verb or a reporting structure. Practise complete sentences such as “Before refurbishment, 40% of respondents were dissatisfied, while 10% were very dissatisfied.” Use accurate agreement, articles, and punctuation throughout.
