Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You identify the main overall pattern accurately: visitor numbers rose after refurbishment, satisfaction increased, and dissatisfaction fell. The response also refers to both survey periods and the visitor total, so it addresses the task. However, the comparisons are mostly general rather than supported with the chart’s figures. For example, the text says satisfaction was “very less” before and “sharply increased” afterwards, but does not report the changes from 15% to 35% very satisfied or 30% to 40% satisfied. It also omits the exact visitor totals of 74,000 and 92,000, and does not mention that no response remained at 5%. Include a concise overview and select key figures to make the main features clearer and more fully developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a broadly coherent order: it introduces the visuals, describes visitor numbers and survey results, and ends with an overall comparison. This gives the reader a recognisable progression. However, the ideas are not consistently separated or linked clearly. The opening repeats “The chart shows,” while phrases such as “And also” and “while on the other hand” make connections feel mechanical. Several points about satisfaction and dissatisfaction are repeated rather than developed through a clear comparison of the two years. Use distinct paragraphs for the overview and the detailed figures, and organise the survey results by contrasting before and after. Clearer referencing and fewer repeated transitions would make the progression easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary, including “refurbishment,” “satisfaction,” “dissatisfaction,” and “sharp increase,” which helps communicate the topic. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, sometimes making the meaning less precise. Examples include “visitors view and experised,” “satisfactions of visitors,” and “dissatisfaction ration.” There are also spelling errors such as “rufurbishment,” “vistors,” and “Asgdown.” Aim for accurate chart language, such as “the proportion of visitors who were satisfied,” and check spelling carefully. More precise terms for the categories and changes would help you report the data without relying on broad phrases such as “lots of difference.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a contrast in “while on the other hand,” and the main message is generally understandable. However, some errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation reduce accuracy. For instance, “there been lots of difference” needs a finite verb and a more suitable plural construction, while “Earlier the very satisfied and the number of satisfied visitors was very less” has an unclear subject and faulty agreement. The opening also joins two ideas awkwardly, and spaces before punctuation appear in “renovation .” Practise building clear sentences with a subject and verb, and use accurate past-tense forms when describing the two completed periods.
