Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

You cover the main features and make accurate comparisons: visitor numbers rose from 74,000 to 92,000, satisfaction increased from 15% to 35% for “very satisfied” and from 30% to 40% for “satisfied,” while dissatisfaction fell. The overview identifies the overall rise in attendance and improvement in satisfaction, and you include the unchanged 5% with no response. However, some details are imprecise: “nearly half” were dissatisfied before refurbishment, but the chart gives 40%, and “the largest number of people are satisfied with new structure” is unclear because the largest category before refurbishment was dissatisfied. More precise reporting of the categories and their percentages would make the comparisons consistently clear and well supported.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and paragraphs covering attendance and survey results. The sequence from overall changes to individual figures is generally logical, and phrases such as “In contrast” help signal a shift to falling dissatisfaction. However, some links are mechanical or unclear, including “To begins with” and “In feedback,” and the satisfaction and dissatisfaction comparisons are crowded together in one paragraph. The reference in “the largest number of people are satisfied with new structure” is also difficult to follow. Use clearer transitions and group positive responses separately from negative responses, so each comparison develops in a more controlled progression.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant task vocabulary, including “visitors,” “refurbishment,” “satisfaction,” “dissatisfied,” and “increased,” so the main information is usually understandable. However, the range and control are limited by repeated or inaccurate wording. “Development” and “work finished” are imprecise substitutes for refurbishment, while “satisfaction rate” and “satisfaction ratio” are awkward collocations. Several spelling errors—such as “illustrats,” “visitores,” “setisfaction,” and “Surprisengly”—are noticeable and can slow the reader. Choose standard chart-reporting phrases and check spelling carefully; this would make the vocabulary more precise and natural without requiring unnecessarily complex words.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some complex sentences, for example, “There are 74,000 people visit Ashdown Museum in year before renovation, which significantly increased 92,000 after development.” However, this construction has problems with the verb pattern, tense, articles, and the form of the comparison. Other examples include “To begins with” and “only 15% people are very satisfied,” where the infinitive and noun phrase are not formed accurately. Sentence structures are mostly simple, and errors recur across the response, although the intended comparisons can generally be understood. Practise accurate past-tense reporting and patterns such as “the number of visitors rose from X to Y” and “15% of visitors were very satisfied.”
