Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You identify the topic and report several relevant comparisons, including that non-response stayed at 5% and that dissatisfaction fell after refurbishment. However, the response does not provide a clear overview of the main pattern: visitor numbers rose from 74,000 to 92,000, while overall satisfaction increased and dissatisfaction declined. Some figures are inaccurate or unclear: dissatisfaction fell from 40% to 15%, a 25-percentage-point drop, not 35; satisfaction rose from 30% to 40%, not “more than 10 time”; and the comparison for very satisfied visitors is difficult to understand. The response is also 27 words below the required minimum, limiting the detail reported. Add a concise overview and accurately compare the key figures to address the task more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some basic organisation: you introduce the table and survey, then use “Firstly,” “However,” “Another side,” and “Therefore” to signal comparisons. The reader can recognise that you are discussing the two periods and satisfaction categories. However, the ideas do not progress clearly from an overview to supporting details, and several transitions are inaccurate or awkward, such as “Another side we looked” and “Therefor.” The final sentence combines satisfaction and very high satisfaction without making their relationship clear. Group the information logically—for example, first state the overall visitor and satisfaction trends, then compare the satisfaction categories—and use straightforward linking phrases such as “By contrast” and “After refurbishment.”
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some task-related vocabulary, including “refurbishment,” “visitors,” “satisfaction,” and “percent,” so the topic is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and many spelling and word-choice errors make the message difficult to follow: “depist,” “durning,” “illustaret,” “vist,” and “refutbishment.” Some phrases are not natural or precise, such as “total ratio of visitors” and “very dissatisfied area out put low.” Use the chart’s terms consistently and choose accurate expressions for changes, such as “the proportion of dissatisfied visitors fell.” Careful spelling and more precise collocations would make your comparisons clearer and more appropriate for an academic report.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to connect ideas with clauses, for example, “However we looked that…” and “people vist satisfied before… and after…,” but sentence structures are often incomplete or difficult to interpret. Errors in articles, word order, verb forms, and sentence construction occur throughout, as in “both of yearhe year before refurbishment and after year it” and “people vist satisfied.” The response relies mainly on simple statements and does not yet show reliable control of a range of sentence patterns. Practise writing complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, such as “The proportion of very satisfied visitors rose from 15% to 35%.” Check tense and article use, and punctuate each comparison as a separate sentence.
