Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You cover the main comparisons and report the visitor total accurately: attendance rose from 74,000 to 92,000, while satisfaction improved overall. Most survey figures are also correct, including the 40% dissatisfied share before refurbishment and the 40% satisfied share afterwards. However, one important figure is misreported: before refurbishment, 15% were very satisfied, but you write that “Satisfied individuals” accounted for 15%, despite already giving 30% as satisfied. The overview is relevant, though “the number of people who were satisfied” is less precise than identifying the combined rise in satisfied and very satisfied responses. To strengthen the response, distinguish the categories carefully and make the key overall shifts explicit.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction with visitor totals, a paragraph for each survey period, and a concluding summary. This makes the before-and-after comparison easy to follow. Linking phrases such as “followed by,” “With regard to,” and “To sum up” help signal progression, although the final summary repeats points already made rather than adding a sharper overview. Some connections are awkward or unclear, particularly “Satisfied individuals sits for 15%,” which makes it difficult to tell which category is being described. The opening sentence is also overloaded with repeated references to the survey and refurbishment. Use more direct topic sentences and ensure each comparison clearly names both the category and its percentage.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a reasonable range of task-related vocabulary, including “refurbishment,” “percentage,” “dissatisfied,” and “declined,” and the reader can generally understand the comparisons. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural: “survey of comparision,” “individuals stood,” “sits for,” and “marking a positive remark” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Spelling errors such as “dissatified” and “disatisfied” also reduce accuracy. Prefer standard chart-reporting language, for example, “the survey results show,” “accounted for,” and “the proportion of dissatisfied visitors fell.” More precise and consistent vocabulary would make the description clearer and more fluent.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, and the main message is usually understandable. However, some errors in agreement, sentence construction, and articles remain. For example, “Total number of visitors … were 74,000” has a singular subject requiring “was,” while “Satisfied individuals sits” has an agreement error and an unclear structure. In “both very dissatisfied and people with no response holds for 5% each,” the verb does not agree with the compound subject, and the phrasing is grammatically awkward. The opening sentence also contains a tangled clause structure, with repeated “year” and “after.” Aim for shorter, controlled sentences, then check subject–verb agreement and use parallel structures when comparing categories.
