Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You report the main figures accurately: visitors rose from 74,000 to 92,000, and the satisfaction percentages for both years are mostly covered. The comparison also conveys the key shift from dissatisfaction before refurbishment to greater satisfaction afterwards. However, the opening claim that “less satisfaction was skyrocketing” is unclear and does not accurately summarise the overall pattern. The response mainly lists figures rather than selecting and highlighting the most important changes—for example, the rise in satisfied or very satisfied visitors and the fall in dissatisfied or very dissatisfied visitors could be brought together in a clear overview. The task is therefore addressed, but the overview and interpretation of the main features remain limited.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic sequence: it introduces the visuals, describes the year before refurbishment, and then moves to the year after. This makes the broad comparison possible to follow. However, there is no distinct, clear overview, and the body paragraphs rely heavily on repeated transitions such as “Meanwhile,” “Subsequently,” and “Although.” Some of these links do not show a clear relationship between the figures, and the opening “While” creates an incomplete connection. Grouping the satisfaction results by positive and negative responses, then comparing the two years, would create a more logical progression. Clearer paragraphing and less repetitive linking would make the organisation easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary, including “refurbishment,” “visitors,” “satisfied,” and “dissatisfied,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several choices are inaccurate or unnatural for describing a table and charts. “Repairing” and “repairment” are not suitable substitutes for refurbishment, while “final output” does not describe survey results. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “visiotr’s” and “Altought,” and informal shorthand such as “no” for “number.” These issues make parts of the description less clear and precise. Aim for standard chart-reporting expressions and check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts some complex sentences, for example, “While, 15 percent of the visitors were very satisfied although 40 percent of the tourists were dissatisfied.” However, these attempts are often faulty, and most sentences follow a similar simple pattern. There are frequent problems with agreement and verb forms: “The table illustrate,” “pie charts demonstrates,” and “the number of visitors were” should use matching subject–verb forms. The construction “people proportion of less satisfaction was skyrocketing” is also difficult to interpret. Sentence openings and punctuation are sometimes incorrect, as in “While,” and “Subsequently ,it.” Practise accurate simple sentences first, then combine comparisons using correctly formed clauses.
