Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You cover both the visitor totals and the satisfaction surveys, and the main figures are generally accurate: attendance rose from 74,000 to 92,000, while satisfaction increased and dissatisfaction declined. You also identify that no response remained at 5%. However, the overview is unclear and partly inaccurate: “the total figure of visitors were lowest refurbishment” does not clearly state the comparison, and the claim that “very dissatisfied after the refurbishment” was a leading result conflicts with the data, where it fell to 5%. Some comparisons are also confused, particularly “very dissatisfied and dissatisfied … at 40 to 15, 15 to 5”; the correct pairings are dissatisfied 40% to 15% and very dissatisfied 10% to 5%. State the overall trends clearly, then report each category accurately.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and paragraphs covering the visitor total and survey results. This gives the reader a basic route through the information. However, progression is weakened by unclear links and awkward transitions, such as “Regarding to the total numbers” and “Looking to the pie charts.” The overview combines several points without making their relationships clear, and the final paragraph’s figures are difficult to follow because the categories and values are not consistently paired. Capitalisation after full stops and the use of “while” and “however” are also inconsistent. Organise the survey comparisons in a clear order—positive responses first, then negative responses—and use straightforward linking phrases to show the before-and-after changes.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt task-relevant vocabulary, including “refurbished,” “proportion,” “dissatisfied,” and “significant decline,” so the response is not limited to everyday language alone. However, inaccurate word choice, spelling, and collocation often make the meaning unclear. For example, “vistiors dominance outfits in museum” does not communicate the increase in attendance, while “the account of visitors” is not a natural way to describe the total. There are also repeated misspellings, including “vistiors,” “verydissatisfied,” and “dissatified,” and “tourists” is less precise than “visitors” in this context. Build a reliable set of chart-reporting phrases and check spelling and word forms before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You make some attempts to combine ideas, for example with “while” and “however,” and you use past-tense forms to describe the two periods. Nevertheless, sentence structures are often faulty, and errors sometimes make relationships between figures hard to understand. In “The table compare … while, The pie charts proportion,” the subject–verb agreement is incorrect and the second clause lacks a verb. “The total numbers of visitors were refurbishment before the years accounted for…” also has an unclear grammatical structure. Articles, prepositions, and punctuation need attention, as in “in before the year” and the inconsistent capitalisation after sentence breaks. Practise writing complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check agreement and punctuation; use simple accurate comparisons before attempting longer clauses.
