Student answer (Band 5.5)
The table depicts the number of individuals who visit to the Ashdown Museum during the year before and the year after it was maintained. While chart illustrates the consequence of surveys asking people how satisfied they were with their visit, during the same two times.
The major fluctuation appeared that the ratio of very dissatisfied visitors declined in the year after refurbishment. Infact, most of the persons agree with changes occured in museum.
Table shows that before maintainance, almost 74,000 individuals went to this historical place. Out of this, only 15% visitors were very happy and 30 percentage people satisfied to some extent while remaining were not agree. Number of folk who dissatisfied was near to half. 10% people were highly disappointed and remaining were not interested to give response about this place which was reported by surveys.
However, 92,000 number of visitors visited this building in the year after changes was appear in the table and chart showed the ratio of person who satisfied was rose to 35 percentage and number of folks exceeded at high peak that was 40. Dissatisfaction rate was diminished after maintainance. It reached to 15 percentage. Individuals who did not agree with manufacturing rose to 10%. The persons who gave no comments were remained same.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You cover both the visitor totals and the satisfaction surveys, and identify the broad improvement after refurbishment: attendance rose from 74,000 to 92,000 while dissatisfaction fell. Several figures are also reported accurately, including 15% very satisfied and 30% satisfied before, and 35% very satisfied and 40% satisfied after. However, some details are unclear or incorrect. The after-refurbishment “very dissatisfied” figure was 5%, not 10%; 10% was the before figure. The overview that “most” people agreed with the changes is not directly supported by the survey, and the claim that 10% did not agree with “manufacturing” misrepresents the unchanged 5% giving no response. A clearer overview and more precise reporting of these less-developed details would strengthen the response.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a brief overview, and separate paragraphs for the two periods. Contrast markers such as “However” help signal the move to the post-refurbishment figures. Nevertheless, progression is not consistently clear because some sentences combine several figures and interpretations without a precise link. For example, “Number of folk who dissatisfied was near to half” is followed by details that need clearer separation, while the final paragraph shifts between satisfaction, dissatisfaction and non-response. Some linking phrases, including “Infact” and “while,” are awkwardly used, and references such as “this place” are vague. Grouping positive responses together, then negative responses and non-response, would make comparisons easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt a range of vocabulary, including “depicts,” “fluctuation,” “diminished” and “historical place,” but word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or unnatural. “The number of individuals who visit to” and “the consequence of surveys” do not express the intended meanings naturally; “survey results” and “visitors to the museum” would be clearer. Repeated informal substitutes such as “folk” and “persons” also reduce the report’s appropriate academic tone. There are spelling errors, including “Infact,” “maintainance” and “occured,” and some phrases obscure the data, notably “did not agree with manufacturing.” Aim for precise chart vocabulary and standard spelling rather than using varied but unsuitable synonyms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including the opening contrast beginning “While” and the sentence starting “Out of this.” However, errors in sentence construction and verb forms frequently make the relationships between ideas difficult to interpret. For example, “While chart illustrates” lacks an article, and “92,000 number of visitors visited this building in the year after changes was appear” has an incorrect word order and verb construction. Other examples include “the ratio of person who satisfied was rose” and “The persons who gave no comments were remained same.” Work on subject–verb agreement, articles, past-tense forms and complete clause structure. Shorter, accurately formed sentences would help communicate the comparisons more reliably.
