Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You identify the broad pattern that visitor satisfaction improved after refurbishment, and you mention that the no-response share stayed the same. However, the response only partially reports the visual information: it gives no figures, omits the total visitor counts of 74,000 and 92,000, and does not clearly compare the satisfaction categories. The claim that people had “no intrest in museum” misinterprets “no response,” which is a survey category, not a measure of interest. The final sentence is also incomplete and unclear. The response is 18 words below the required minimum, leaving the key features underdeveloped. Include an overview and accurate comparisons, such as dissatisfaction falling from 40% to 15% and satisfaction rising overall.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some basic organisation: an opening statement is followed by an overview and then comments on survey results. Linking expressions such as “Overall,” “Initially,” and “But” help signal movement between points. However, the progression is not consistently clear, and several ideas are repeated or left unfinished. For example, the final sentence, “At the end the people of are very disappointed…,” does not complete a clear comparison. The overview also refers vaguely to “five various proportions” rather than setting out the main trends. Use separate, purposeful paragraphs for the overview and key comparisons, and connect each category to its before-and-after figures so the reader can follow the report.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The response attempts some task-related vocabulary, including “proportion,” “satisfaction,” “decline,” and “refurbishment,” so the topic is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or misspelled choices make the meaning difficult to follow: “indivisuals,” “disaapointed,” “raized,” and “dessatisfaction.” Some phrases are also unsuitable for describing survey data, such as “people who don’t have any interest in museum” for respondents who gave no response. Prefer precise chart language and use the same category labels as the task. For example, describe the “percentage of dissatisfied visitors” rather than a “ratio of disappointed people,” and distinguish “satisfied” from “very satisfied.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a few different sentence forms, including an overall statement and sentences joined with “who” and “but.” However, the range remains limited, and frequent errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and punctuation sometimes make the message hard to understand. Examples include “the ratio … is decline,” “the satisfaction ratio was raised,” and the incomplete construction “A significant decline in the percentage…” The opening also needs an article and more accurate structure: “the number of visitors … before and after refurbishment.” Commas are often attached to the following word, as in “Overall, the” and “But,we.” Practise writing complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check tense and punctuation before finishing.
