Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the general increase in visitor numbers and report several satisfaction figures, including very satisfied visitors rising from 15% to 35%, satisfied visitors from 30% to 40%, and no response remaining unchanged. However, the account only partly covers the main features: it omits the total visitor figures of 74,000 and 92,000, and it does not clearly compare the overall shift from dissatisfaction to satisfaction. There is also a major factual error: very dissatisfied visitors fell from 10% to 5%, rather than increasing by 25%. The overview is vague and does not accurately summarise the strongest trends. Develop a clear overview and check each comparison against the chart. The opening sentence is copied from the task prompt and does not add information.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has paragraph breaks and attempts to guide the reader with phrases such as “At first,” “Besides,” and “Analyzing the table and pie chart.” However, the progression is difficult to follow because the first two paragraphs repeat the task introduction, and the final paragraph largely repeats the idea of change without adding a clear summary. Some linking phrases do not show the relationship between the data accurately; for example, “At the end” introduces another category rather than a final stage. References such as “there is a number” are unclear. Organise the response into an introduction, a concise overview, and paragraphs comparing the figures, using links that express contrast or change precisely.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “increased considerably,” “rose significantly,” “satisfied,” and “remained same,” so the reader can recognise the topic and intended comparisons. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, spelling, and collocation errors make parts difficult to understand: “visitores,” “satisfiction,” “percentange,” and “the number of the satisfied visitorer” are examples. “Pie chart” is also inaccurate because the task presents survey charts, not a pie chart. Repetition of “number” and “visitores” further limits precision. Build a small set of accurate terms for proportions and satisfaction categories, and check spelling and natural combinations before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer structures, such as “At first we notice that…” and “Analyzing the table and pie chart we can see…”. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, articles, agreement, and punctuation occur frequently enough to affect clarity. For example, “there about 15%” is missing a verb, while “there is a few visitores” has incorrect agreement; “the year before and year after” also needs parallel article use. Spaces before full stops and missing spaces after them disrupt readability. Practise forming accurate comparisons with a clear subject and verb, such as “The proportion of very satisfied visitors rose from 15% to 35%,” and proofread punctuation and articles.
