Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You identify the main overall changes accurately: visitor numbers rose from 74,000 to 92,000, satisfaction improved, dissatisfaction fell, and the no-response share stayed at 5%. You also give relevant figures for satisfied visitors (30% to 40%) and dissatisfied visitors (40% to 15%). However, the account is incomplete: it omits the rise in “very satisfied” responses from 15% to 35% and the fall in “very dissatisfied” responses from 10% to 5%. The final sentence is cut off, and several points are asserted without enough detail. The response is also 27 words below the required minimum, limiting how fully you can report and compare the data. Include the missing categories and complete the summary.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and a paragraph with selected figures. This gives the reader a general sense of the comparison, and linking words such as “Overall,” “However,” and “Furthermore” help signal relationships. However, progression is uneven: the overview repeats the visitor increase already stated, and the satisfaction details are split across paragraphs without a clear, systematic comparison of the two survey years. The final phrase, “No response visirors remained s,” is incomplete and interrupts the flow. Some transitions, particularly repeated uses of “However,” do not express a clear contrast. Organise the body by grouping positive and negative satisfaction changes, and ensure each sentence is complete and connected to the next.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant task vocabulary, including “refurbishment,” “proportion,” “satisfied,” and “dissatisfied,” so the topic is generally clear. There is some repetition, especially “number of visitors” and “after refurbishment,” and several phrases are awkward or imprecise, such as “got increase,” “had also shown increase in its number,” and “major dercrease.” Spelling errors—including “comapred,” “visirors,” and “dercrease”—also reduce accuracy. The unfinished “remained s” leaves the final meaning unclear. Aim for concise, conventional data-reporting language, such as “visitor numbers rose,” “the share of satisfied respondents increased,” and “the proportion expressing dissatisfaction fell.” Check spelling and avoid repeating the same noun phrase when a clear reference such as “this figure” is available.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and more developed comparisons, and the main figures can usually be understood. However, some grammatical errors affect accuracy and fluency. For example, “The Museum got increase” lacks a correctly formed verb phrase, while “A total number of 92000 visitors arrived” uses an awkward construction and article pattern. In “Satisfied Visitors number had also shown increase,” the noun phrase and verb form are not controlled, and “dissatisfied visitors number” has an unclear possessive structure. Punctuation is also inconsistent: several sentences run together after full stops, and “Overall,The” lacks a space. Practise accurate past-tense reporting structures, such as “The number of visitors increased,” and proofread sentence boundaries, articles, and agreement.
