Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You identify the main subject and report several key figures accurately: visitors rose from 74,000 to 92,000, very satisfied responses increased from 15% to 35%, and dissatisfaction fell. However, the response does not give a clear overview of the main pattern, such as the overall improvement in satisfaction after refurbishment, and the comparisons are presented as a list rather than selected and summarised features. Some wording makes the figures difficult to interpret, particularly the sentence about satisfied visitors. The response is also 143 words, below the required 150; develop the overview and comparisons rather than adding a closing statement such as “this is all of explanation.”

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an opening identifies the visuals, followed by visitor totals and survey results. However, the progression is difficult to follow because the survey figures are crowded into one long paragraph and several transitions are used inaccurately or mechanically. For example, “And the other hand” does not form a correct contrast, while “Moreover” and “Farthermore” introduce figures without clarifying how they relate to the previous comparison. The final phrase repeats that the charts and table have been explained instead of summarising the main trend. Use separate paragraphs for the overview and details, and group positive and negative satisfaction results so the comparisons are easier to track.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “refurbishment,” “visitor satisfaction,” “dissatisfied,” and “no response,” so the topic is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or misspelled expressions make the account harder to understand: “illustratets,” “satisfide,” “dissatisfide,” and “pirevious.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “how agree they were with the visit” and “no response persons.” Choose standard chart language and check spelling and collocations carefully. For example, describe survey categories as “very satisfied” or “dissatisfied,” and refer to “respondents who gave no response.” More precise verbs such as “rose,” “increased,” and “fell” would also help express comparisons efficiently.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts to connect ideas and compare periods, but sentence structures are mostly simple or incomplete, and errors are frequent enough to make some relationships unclear. The opening has agreement and form problems in “This table and pie charts illustratets,” and “the year before and after it was refurbished” is not smoothly constructed. In “the year before refurbishment is 74,000,” the tense does not fit a completed period; use “was.” Articles and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent, as in “in table we see information” and the long final sentence joined by commas. Practise accurate past-tense reporting and build comparisons in complete sentences, for example, “The number of visitors rose from 74,000 to 92,000.”
