Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

You cover the main elements of the task and give a clear overview: visitor numbers rose after refurbishment, while satisfaction shifted towards positive responses. The figures are accurately reported, including the increase from 74,000 to 92,000 and the changes in the satisfaction categories. This selection and comparison support a well-focused summary. The overview’s statement that “the rest of the two types remained similar” is imprecise, however: very dissatisfied responses fell from 10% to 5%, while no response stayed at 5%. Clarifying this distinction would make the overview more precise and fully supported. Overall, the response addresses the task clearly, with the main trends extended through relevant data.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, an overview, and separate paragraphs for visitor totals and survey results before and after refurbishment. This makes the information easy to follow, and the chronological grouping is appropriate. You also use linking expressions such as “Overall,” “However,” and “followed by” to connect points. To strengthen progression further, avoid connectors that create awkward or contradictory relationships, as in “Although earlier mostly people were dissatisfied or satisfied, but after rebuilding…”; using either “although” or “but” would be more effective. The repeated “However” at the start of the final two sentences also feels mechanical. More precise referencing and smoother links would build on the coherent arrangement already present.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a range of task-relevant vocabulary, including “refurbishment,” “dissatisfied,” “percentages,” and “survey,” and the meaning is generally clear. However, several word choices and collocations are noticeably inaccurate or unnatural, limiting precision. For example, “travelers who visited” is less suitable than “visitors to,” “the museum was made again” is not a natural way to describe refurbishment, and “dissatisfaction ratio” is awkward in this context. There are also word-form and spelling problems, such as “rebuild” where a past participle is needed and “upto” written as one word. Aim for conventional chart-reporting phrases and check collocations and spelling carefully; this will make your vocabulary more fluent and precise.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mixture of sentence forms, including a complex overview sentence and comparisons introduced by “Although” and “However.” The main information remains understandable, but grammatical control is inconsistent, and several errors occur in basic sentence construction. For instance, “Although earlier mostly people were dissatisfied or satisfied, but…” combines two contrasting conjunctions; “the numbers were increased” uses an unsuitable passive form; and “People who were very satisfied and very dissatisfied shown…” is missing a finite verb. Articles and sentence patterns also need attention in phrases such as “Year before refurbishment.” Practise forming complete clauses and choosing accurate verb forms, then proofread for conjunctions and agreement. Greater accuracy across these structures would make the response easier to read.
