Student answer (Band 5.0)
The given table describes the toursists in numerical format they were visting to the most famous Ashdown Musem we can notice from the given table that difference in the number of the visitors before renovation and after renovation. The pie chart given below states the outcome of the survey which was noted by taking the feedback from the visitors, also their satisfaction with their visit, before and after the change.
It can be seen that from the given table the number of toursists who visited the Ashdown Musem
during the period when it was orginally built before any changes it can be lisited that the count of visitors were too less.suprisingly, The highest number of toursists showed huge interest to the Ashdown Musem.
The piechart below the table states the outcome of the survey of the visitors feedback it has both satisfaction review and dissastifaction review ratings. from the piechart it can be clearly seen that high number of toursists showed huge interest to visit the musem after the reconstruction of the musem. also it shows that 40% of tourists were satisfed with the visit after renovating the musem.their is drastic change in the survey before reconstruction the situation of survey was wiseversa but now it got reveresed due to remodelling the musem.the maxium count who gave the review regarding dissatisfaction were now changed their opinion after renovating the Ashdown musem.
therefore, it can be concluded that from the table aswell as from the piechart the high number of torists are satisficated and more attracted towards ashdown musem and very few number of people were disatisfied after renovating the Musem. the people skipped the survey remained unchanged before and after the renovation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the broad comparison that visitor numbers rose after the refurbishment and that satisfaction improved, and you note that non-responses stayed unchanged. However, the report does not give the actual visitor totals (74,000 and 92,000) or clearly compare the survey figures. The statement that the highest number of tourists showed interest is not supported by the data, which records satisfaction rather than interest. You do mention 40% satisfied after refurbishment, but overlook that 35% were very satisfied and that dissatisfaction fell from 40% to 15%. The overview is therefore only partly clear, and several key features are vague or inaccurately described. Select the main changes and support them with precise figures.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has separate paragraphs and attempts to move from the table to the survey and then to a conclusion. This gives it some basic organisation. However, there is no clear progression through the most important comparisons: the visitor totals are not stated, and the survey discussion repeats the idea of increased interest without explaining the figures in a logical sequence. Linking expressions such as “also,” “therefore,” and “from the piechart” are repetitive or do not clarify how ideas relate. Some references, including “the situation of survey was wiseversa,” are difficult to follow. A clearer structure would present an overview first, then compare visitor numbers, followed by the satisfaction results before and after refurbishment.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “survey,” “satisfaction,” “dissatisfaction,” and “renovation,” so the reader can recognise the subject. However, the range is limited and several choices are inaccurate or repetitive. “Interest” is repeatedly used where the data concerns satisfaction, while “satisficated” and “wiseversa” are not appropriate forms. Frequent spelling errors such as “Musem,” “toursists,” “dissastifaction,” and “reveresed” make the writing harder to read. Phrases such as “huge interest” and “high number” are also imprecise for describing percentages. Use standard chart-reporting language and check spelling and word forms carefully; this would make your comparisons clearer and more suitable for an academic report.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt longer sentences and use some subordinate clauses, for example, “It can be seen that…” and “it can be concluded that…”. However, many sentences are difficult to process because clauses are joined without clear grammatical structure or punctuation. The opening sentence contains several ideas joined together, and “the number of tourists who visited… it can be listed” shifts into an incomplete construction. There are also recurring problems with articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, as in “the people skipped the survey remained unchanged.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, particularly after full stops. Aim for shorter, complete sentences first, then add complex structures only when their clauses are clearly connected.
