Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the main comparison accurately: visitor numbers rose from 74,000 to 92,000, satisfaction increased, and dissatisfaction fell. The figures you give for each category are also consistent with the charts. However, the response is only a partial summary: it ends with the unfinished statement “overall it improved tha ratting of =” rather than providing a complete overview, and the opening overview is brief and unclear. The comparison of the two satisfaction groups could be brought together more explicitly, while the unchanged 5% with no response is a useful detail. The response is 136 words, below the required 150, so it also needs further relevant reporting to meet the task fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is some organisation: you begin with an introduction, then report visitor totals and satisfaction categories, and use signals such as “Firstly” and “On the other hand.” This gives the reader a basic route through the information. However, progression is weakened by the incomplete final line, “overall it improved tha ratting of =”, which leaves the summary unfinished. The opening overview is also difficult to follow, and the paragraph breaks do not clearly separate an overview from supporting details. Some links, such as “While the dissatisfied visitor was 40%,” do not connect smoothly to the following sentence. Group the main trends in a clear overview, then compare related figures in a logical order.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “rise,” “increase,” “dissatisfied,” and “remain same,” and the reader can generally understand the comparisons you intend. However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms are inaccurate, making the report less precise: “visitors number,” “satisfaction among them,” “ratting,” and “re-construction” are not natural choices in this context. Spelling errors such as “noticable” and “FIrstly” also reduce control. Aim for accurate, conventional chart language rather than repeating “became” and “big.” For example, describe visitor numbers as “the total number of visitors” and say a proportion “fell” or “declined.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts a few different sentence patterns, including a contrast with “On the other hand” and a relative comparison such as “more than twice than before.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences awkward or unclear. Examples include “In this table and pie charts. it demonstrates,” where the sentence is incomplete and punctuation is faulty, and “the dissatisfied visitor was 40%,” where the subject and percentage are not expressed accurately. Verb forms and agreement also need attention in “it decrease into 15%” and “people was 10%.” Practise complete sentences with accurate past-tense verbs, and check subject–verb agreement and punctuation before finishing.
