Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You cover the main features of both the visitor total and satisfaction surveys, and your overview identifies the key shift from predominantly dissatisfied responses before refurbishment to predominantly satisfied responses afterwards. The figures you report—74,000 to 92,000 visitors, dissatisfaction falling from 40% to 15%, and no response staying at 5%—match the data. You also note the rise in very satisfied visitors from 15% to 35%. This meets the task well, with some features more fully reported than others: for example, the 40% satisfied figure after refurbishment and the fall in very dissatisfied responses from 10% to 5% could be included. To make the summary more complete and precise, distinguish clearly between the two satisfaction categories and avoid repeating the same comparison.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic overall structure, with an introduction, an overview and a paragraph of supporting details. The overview gives the reader a useful sense of the main changes. However, progression is weakened by repetition: the fall in dissatisfaction from 40% to 15% is stated in both the overview and the final paragraph, while other figures receive less attention. Some linking is also awkward or unclear, particularly “where as this figer drops” and “before there were only 15% very satisfied visitors which show the rose.” Organise the details into a clearer sequence—for example, compare the satisfaction categories before and after, then mention visitor totals—and use references such as “this proportion” only when their meaning is unmistakable.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for describing the charts, including “total number of visitors,” “dissatisfied,” “very satisfied,” “drops” and “remain.” This gives the response enough topic-related language to communicate its main comparisons. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling errors make the writing less clear or natural. Examples include “the biggest share” for the largest proportion, “the 2nd highest chnage,” and “the visitors with no response are same.” Spelling errors such as “ilustrates,” “Ashown,” “figer” and “contant” are also noticeable. Build a small set of accurate comparison phrases and check spelling carefully; precise terms such as “proportion,” “rose,” “fell” and “remained unchanged” would improve clarity.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a contrast between the two periods in the overview. However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty, so the reader sometimes has to work to follow the relationships between ideas. For example, “the total number of visitors increase form 74,000 to 92,000” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “before the refurbishment more then half of the people are” shifts tense and lacks punctuation after the opening phrase. The sentence beginning “Before there were only 15% very satisfied visitors” also has an unclear structure. Use past tense consistently for the survey periods, check agreement, and divide long comparisons into shorter, complete sentences.
