Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the main increase in attendance, from 74,000 to 92,000, and report several key satisfaction figures accurately, including the rise in very satisfied visitors from 15% to 35% and the fall in dissatisfaction from 40% to 15%. However, the overview is not clearly separated from the details and does not summarise the strongest overall pattern: satisfaction improved markedly after refurbishment. Some information is also imprecise: “the full satisfaction number” is unclear, and the 5% no-response figure applies in both periods, while the 10% who were very dissatisfied before refurbishment is omitted. The response covers the main elements, but the overview and comparisons need clearer, more complete development.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic sequence, moving from an introduction and overview to visitor numbers and then survey results. Paragraphing helps distinguish these stages, and “Firstly” and “Secondly” signal the order of information. However, progression is not consistently clear: the second paragraph repeats the introduction rather than giving a concise overview, and several links feel mechanical. Phrases such as “in this two chart” and “after their work” make it difficult to follow which period or refurbishment is being discussed. Group the key trends together, use clear references to the before and after periods, and avoid repeating the same information across paragraphs. This would make the organisation more coherent and the comparisons easier to track.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “visitors,” “dissatisfied,” “satisfied,” and “refurbishment,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors reduce clarity. For example, “how they satisfied” is not a natural way to describe survey responses, while “full satisfaction number” does not clearly express the combined positive ratings. There are also misspellings such as “Museus's,” “catogory,” and “refursbishment.” Aim for precise reporting language and check spelling carefully; terms such as “proportion,” “accounted for,” and “very dissatisfied” can help describe the categories accurately.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts both simple and longer sentence forms, but control is inconsistent, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences awkward or unclear. For example, “In this three type of category showa the total number” lacks a clear grammatical structure, and “40% visitors was satisfied” has errors in article use and subject–verb agreement. The sentence beginning “Overall, in the table gives information” also has no clear subject, while “when they was not woeking on it” uses an incorrect pronoun and verb form. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement, articles, and tense. More accurate simple comparisons would be preferable to complex sentences that are difficult to control.
