Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the main overall changes: visitor numbers rose after refurbishment, satisfaction increased, and dissatisfaction fell. Several survey figures are also reported accurately, including very satisfied visitors rising from 15% to 35%, dissatisfied visitors falling from 40% to 15%, and no response remaining at 5%. However, the response omits the actual visitor totals of 74,000 and 92,000, so an important part of the table is not covered. The overview is brief, and some comparisons are only listed rather than developed. The response is also 32 words below the required minimum, which limits the detail available. Include both visitor totals and explain the broad shift from mostly dissatisfied responses to mostly satisfied ones.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and a paragraph of survey details. This makes the main direction of the information reasonably easy to follow. You also use linking expressions such as “Meanwhile” and “In contrast” to signal comparisons. However, the progression is somewhat mechanical, and the final paragraph moves through individual categories without a clear grouping or hierarchy. The opening overview uses two short statements joined by “And,” which weakens the flow. Group the positive satisfaction categories together and the negative categories together, and use transitions to show the overall contrast rather than simply introducing each figure. This would make the organisation more purposeful and the comparisons easier to track.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for describing survey results, including “visitors,” “satisfaction level,” “dissatisfaction,” “surge,” and “remained same.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main trends, but the range is limited and several choices or forms are inaccurate. “Refurnishment” is repeatedly used where “refurbishment” is needed, while “the refurnished of museum” is not a natural phrase. “Satisfaction level also surge” and “reduce down” are awkward collocations, and spelling errors such as “Befor,” “significantaly,” and “respose” are noticeable. Aim for precise, conventional reporting language such as “the proportion of visitors who were satisfied rose” and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and comparisons, and the reader can generally understand the intended trends. However, grammatical control is uneven, with frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “the total number of visitors increase” needs a past-tense verb, and “their level significantaly surge” has both agreement and tense problems. “The satisfaction level of visitors was account for 30%” is not a well-formed clause; use “satisfied visitors accounted for 30%.” The opening overview also begins a sentence with “And,” and “Regarding, very dissatisfaction level” is incorrectly punctuated and structured. Practise accurate past-tense reporting and build comparisons around clear subjects and verbs before attempting more complex sentences.
