Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
You identify the main overall changes: visitor numbers rose from 74,000 to 92,000, and satisfaction improved after refurbishment. You also report several key survey figures accurately, including the rise in very satisfied visitors to 35% and the fall in dissatisfied visitors from 40% to 15%. This gives the response a clear, relevant overview and covers both the table and charts. However, the statement that “10 percent visitor's satisfaction level” surged is unclear and does not accurately describe a specific category; the increase in satisfied visitors was 10 percentage points, from 30% to 40%. The unchanged 5% with no response is mentioned only vaguely. More precise reporting of this category and clearer comparisons would strengthen an otherwise well-focused summary.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and separate paragraphs for visitor numbers and survey results. This makes the main progression easy to follow, and linking phrases such as “Overall,” “Turning to,” and “In stark contrast” help signal relationships between points. Some cohesion is less controlled, however. The opening uses two separate sentences where the second is a fragment beginning “While,” and the survey paragraph moves between categories without a fully clear sequence. “Furthermore some people are not interested to give response” is also an imprecise link to the unchanged no-response figure. To make the organisation more fluent, group the positive satisfaction categories together, then contrast them with the negative categories and the unchanged response rate.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use a reasonable range of task-related vocabulary, including “proportion,” “in stark contrast,” “dissatisfied,” and “refurbishment,” and the meaning is generally understandable. There are also attempts at more formal reporting language, such as “a vast majority” and “declined considerably.” Some choices are inaccurate or awkward, though: “satisfaction level is surged” and “people are not interested to give response” do not express the intended data naturally. “Vast majority” is also not a precise description of the visitor increase, since it suggests a share rather than a change in total numbers. Spelling errors such as “decresed” further reduce accuracy. Aim for precise chart language and natural collocations, especially when describing percentage-point changes.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex forms, including the contrast introduced by “While” and the sentence beginning “In stark contrast.” However, control is inconsistent, and several errors affect sentence structure and verb forms. The opening “While the charts highlight…” is a dependent clause without a main clause. Other examples include “satisfied and very satisfied visitors are grow sharply,” “the figure … is also rose,” and “the proportion … are declined,” where verb forms or subject–verb agreement are faulty. Articles and plural forms also need attention in “10 percent visitor's” and “some people are not interested to give response.” Practise forming complete sentences and checking tense and agreement; accurate simple structures will make your comparisons clearer while you develop more complex ones.
