Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You report the main changes accurately: visitor numbers rose from 74,000 to 92,000, satisfaction increased, and dissatisfaction fell. The figures for each response category are also correctly compared, including the unchanged 5% with no response. This addresses the task and gives a relevant overview in “after refurbised visitors stisfaction level increased.” However, the overview is brief and does not clearly summarise the strongest contrast: before refurbishment, dissatisfaction was the largest group, whereas afterwards satisfaction dominated. Some details are also presented as a list rather than interpreted, and the response does not explicitly identify the survey figures as percentages. A clearer overview highlighting these contrasting patterns would make the key features more fully developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, moving from an introduction and overview to the two periods, and the before-and-after comparison is generally easy to follow. Phrases such as “in contrast” and “from 40 to 15” help connect related information. However, the labels “Introduction,” “overveiw,” and “body 1” are not needed in a formal report, and the overview is separated from the data without developing the main comparison. Some linking is mechanical, particularly the long sequence in the second body paragraph joined by commas and “but.” The final phrase, “the other catagories are changed for good,” is also unclear as a concluding point. Grouping the satisfaction changes into positive and negative responses would create smoother progression.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “refurbishment,” “percentage,” “increased,” “decreased,” and “in contrast,” so the reader can understand the main comparisons. However, the range is limited and several spelling errors are noticeable, including “satiesfied,” “dissatiesfied,” “refurbisment,” and “catagories.” Some expressions are imprecise or unnatural: “the charts illustrates” does not clearly describe what is shown, while “changed for good” is vague and could suggest permanence rather than improvement. Repeated use of “number” also weakens precision when describing survey proportions. Aim for accurate, conventional report language and check spelling carefully; more precise terms for satisfaction levels and changes would make the account clearer and more fluent.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer comparisons, and the main figures can usually be understood. However, some errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and punctuation remain. For example, “The charts illustrates” has a subject–verb agreement error, and “in two periods how satiesfied the visitors when they were their visits” is not a well-formed clause. The second body paragraph becomes a run-on sequence, with several ideas joined by commas rather than separated into controlled sentences. There are also inconsistent sentence openings and missing spaces after labels and punctuation. Use a clear subject and verb in each sentence, and divide the longer comparison into shorter clauses. This would improve accuracy while allowing you to retain some complex structures.
