Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
Currently, There lot of medical research projects are being processed by many private organizations. I believe Government should finance these research projects rather than private companies or by an individual, because the incumbant government can handle better than any other entity and may aware with the wherewithals needed to foster the projects in appropriate way.
The projects, if oversee by a disasterous private entity or an individual will ensue abominable reuslts, on the other hand if overlooked by a government the result might be opposite. The Governement will organize the events across the country about the awareness of public issues and the need for researches in the metter of health, in this way they might be able to get public help with fund raising program to back the research projects.
Private companies or single individual might not be able to manage the basic requirments needed for the uplift of the projects and rudamentary ailments for researchers, But, Governement can manage these requisites by utilizing annual budgets or by the means of other things, So that desirable result can be incurred. It will be then possible for researchers to focus on projects rather on financial problems.
I believe it would be viable for medical research projects, that are being funded by some private companies, if financed by the Government because they can better handle these projects than any other entities and are aware of the prerequisite of materials needed to augment the projects.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is clear: you argue that governments should fund medical research, and you give relevant reasons, including their ability to use public budgets and raise awareness. However, the task asks you to consider whether research should be carried out by private companies, individuals, or government, and the response mainly asserts that government is better without explaining the roles or limitations of the other options in much detail. The claims that private funding could produce “abominable results” and that government funding would lead to the opposite are not supported with a specific example or clear explanation. The response also falls short of the stated 250-word minimum. Develop each reason with a concrete example and address the alternatives more directly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an opening position, supporting paragraphs, and a concluding restatement. Ideas are generally grouped by topic, and connectors such as “on the other hand,” “But,” and “So that” show an attempt to link points. However, progression is limited because the conclusion largely repeats the introduction, while the supporting paragraphs do not build a clear sequence of distinct arguments. Some links are awkward or unclear, particularly “The projects, if oversee by a disasterous private entity…” and “in this way they might be able to get public help.” Paragraphing is present, but clearer topic sentences and more precise references would help readers follow how each point supports the position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “fund,” “awareness,” “annual budgets,” and “researchers,” and some choices show an effort to use formal language. However, the range is not consistently controlled, and several inaccurate or unsuitable choices make the meaning harder to follow. For example, “projects are being processed” is not a natural way to describe research, while “rudamentary ailments for researchers” does not clearly express the intended idea. There are also frequent spelling errors, including “incumbant,” “disasterous,” “reuslts,” and “Governement.” Aim for precise, natural collocations and check spelling carefully; simpler accurate wording will communicate your argument more effectively than ambitious but unclear vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “if financed by the Government” and clauses beginning “because.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some passages difficult to understand. Examples include “There lot of medical research projects,” “if oversee by,” and “the incumbant government … may aware,” where sentence structure, verb forms, or required grammatical elements are missing or incorrect. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “Currently, There” and the comma before “But.” Practise building accurate complete sentences first, then extend them with subordinate clauses. Check subject–verb agreement, articles, and verb forms during proofreading.
