Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a preference for private companies, but the development of ideas is limited. While you mention 'wider knowledge' and 'accessibility,' these points are not fully supported with clear, logical reasoning. The example regarding 'surveys' is vague and lacks specific detail. The counter-argument regarding government involvement is mentioned but is underdeveloped, making the overall position feel slightly unbalanced. To improve, ensure each paragraph contains a clear topic sentence followed by a detailed explanation and a concrete, relevant example that directly supports your main argument.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or misused (e.g., 'To commence with', 'To justify', 'As a sample'). Some transitions feel forced, and the logical flow between sentences is occasionally interrupted by awkward phrasing. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the connection between 'majority of people' and the research process is not well-explained. Improving the variety and naturalness of linking words will help the ideas progress more smoothly.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of word-choice errors and non-standard collocations, such as 'medical researchs' (should be 'research'), 'give many preference', and 'easy access to any research survey on internet'. Spelling errors are also frequent (e.g., 'formost', 'acquracy', 'deseace', 'oppurtunities'). To reach a higher band, focus on using more academic vocabulary and ensuring correct spelling and word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('research are to be done', 'technology have spread'), article usage, and punctuation errors (e.g., unnecessary spaces before commas). Some sentences are fragmented or lack proper structure, such as 'which will outline in the forthcoming fragments'. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and consistent sentence structure.
