Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing government versus private funding. However, the development is limited. While you state a preference for government funding, the arguments are somewhat brief and lack depth. For instance, the point about 'European countries' is a good start but needs more specific detail to fully support your position. The conclusion introduces the benefits of private funding again, which creates a slight contradiction with your earlier stance, making your position feel less consistent. To improve, ensure each body paragraph fully explores the 'why' and 'how' of your arguments, and maintain a clear, unwavering position throughout the essay.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic cohesive devices like 'To begin with', 'Firstly', and 'Secondly' to signal your points. However, the transition between the body paragraphs and the conclusion is a bit abrupt. Some sentences, such as 'According to me healthcare projects should be funded by government operated companies, it is discussed in the forthcoming fragments', are slightly mechanical. To reach a higher band, try to use a wider range of linking words and ensure that the progression of ideas flows more naturally between sentences rather than relying on simple list-like transitions.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'undeniable', 'merits', and 'exceptional knowledge'. However, there are some instances of imprecise word choice and collocation issues, such as 'funding should be carried by' (should be provided/funded by) and 'forthcoming fragments' (which is not a standard academic phrase; 'following paragraphs' would be better). The vocabulary is generally sufficient to convey your meaning, but it lacks the sophistication and precision required for higher bands. Focus on learning collocations—words that naturally go together—to improve the naturalness of your writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, some contain grammatical errors, such as 'As result the quality standards... can be raised' (missing 'a' before 'result') and 'private funded organisations' (should be 'privately funded'). There are also minor punctuation and article errors throughout. The errors do not generally impede communication, but they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles, and try to vary your sentence structure by using more subordinating conjunctions correctly.
