Student answer (Band 6.5)
These days Private companies have played a pivotal role to provide funds for research in medical projects. I firmly believe the research should be going forward regardless of whether it is financed by private corporations or the state.
If we pay attention to the scientific dicoveries, These are all the advantages of the research which has been carried in different ways, some has been tried on animals via a hypothesis later tested on humans for instance in humans there has been rigorous research in previous years on the infertility earlier it was the major issue and now it is not the problem any more because of the miraculous inventions such as cryopreservation, In vitro fertilization, intra uterine insemination which have been serving the humans as cure to infertility. So now the women can set the goals without focusing on their fertile window. Moreover the vaccination for the fatal diseases to get the immunity in the next generation is really crucial for the well being of all humans and animals as well. Apart from that clinical trials are the part of research to find the cure for cancer and other diseases.
The main onus is on government means it should be pubic funding to provide all necessities of the research along with the finances, it will be ultimately significant for the country, it will enhance the economical strength and cultural diversity as well because students from all over the world will show interest to get the training from the country which provides the resources so that will be a win win situation for both. No matter who supported the research, the fact is research should not be dependent on these factors.
Overall innovations in reproductive medicine, cancer treatments and vaccination are the examples to identify the importance of research especially about medical field. There are other factors which economic and cultural diversity which are in the favour of the country reputation.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the funding of medical research. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While you mention the importance of medical research and the role of government, the argument regarding whether private companies or individuals should be involved is less clearly articulated. The position is stated in the introduction, but the body paragraphs focus more on the benefits of research itself rather than a comparative analysis of the funding sources. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph directly supports your stated opinion on the specific funding bodies mentioned in the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression between ideas is sometimes disjointed. For example, the transition from discussing infertility treatments to the role of government funding feels abrupt. While you use some cohesive devices like 'Moreover' and 'Apart from that', their usage is occasionally mechanical. The referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the sentence 'These are all the advantages of the research', where the antecedent is ambiguous. Improving the flow between sentences and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'pivotal role', 'rigorous research', and 'cryopreservation'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'the main onus is on government means it should be pubic funding' and 'in the favour of the country reputation'. Additionally, there are minor spelling errors like 'dicoveries' and 'pubic' (intended as 'public'). To improve, focus on using more precise academic collocations and proofreading for spelling slips to ensure your vocabulary is used with greater accuracy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly regarding punctuation, article usage, and subject-verb agreement. For instance, 'some has been tried on animals' should be 'some have been tried', and 'there are other factors which economic and cultural diversity' is grammatically incomplete. Sentence boundaries are also an issue, with several run-on sentences or comma splices. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to limit the score. Focusing on sentence construction and basic proofreading will help improve your accuracy.
