Student answer (Band 6.0)
Medical research is one of the most important research for investigating new technologies and techniques in medical field and the ways to treat patients. it is really very essential for getting positive results about new discoveries and new science. Medical research is also conducted at the level of M.PHil and PhD by practitioners and other practical side doctors.
In my opinion medical research should be funded by all local governments, because if there in medical field research is conducted purily and with best way, then results will helpful for all practitioners to treat their patients. however on the other hand it also should be supported by other companies too, for instance when i was student at ameer ud din medical college, an ex principal donated extra amount for renovation of building and for digital library and its equipments. now that library is using best by students and other research students for their medical research.
In this regard i will conclude this paragraph that government should provide fully funded support in medical field and also provide medicines because when medicine are affordable then patients can by them. If it is provided at International level, we can make better our situation and also can make best to our medical research level. Thats why it should be supported by all sides if possible like other private companies and individuals who can make it better, but firstly it should be fully supported by all area vise and local government for better improvement in research.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the funding of medical research. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you express a preference for government funding, the arguments are somewhat repetitive and lack depth. The example provided regarding the college library is relevant but does not fully explore the broader implications of private versus government funding in the medical sector. To improve, you should provide more specific, analytical reasons for why government funding is superior or how a collaborative model would function. The conclusion is a bit disjointed and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented in the body paragraphs. Aim to provide a more balanced exploration of the different stakeholders mentioned in the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into three paragraphs, which is a standard structure. However, the logical progression between ideas is sometimes weak. The use of cohesive devices is limited and occasionally mechanical, such as 'In this regard' or 'however on the other hand'. Some sentences are linked loosely, making the flow of the argument feel disjointed. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the transition between the discussion of government funding and the personal example about the library could be smoother. To achieve a higher score, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence clearly follows from the previous one to build a cohesive argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There is a reliance on basic terms like 'important', 'best', and 'good'. Phrases such as 'practical side doctors' and 'make better our situation' are unnatural and imprecise. There are also some minor errors in word choice and collocation that occasionally hinder the flow. To improve, you should aim to incorporate more academic vocabulary related to research, funding, and public policy, and focus on using collocations that sound more natural in an academic context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'medicine are affordable'), article usage (e.g., 'in medical field'), and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'that library is using best by students'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some sentences lacking proper capitalization or ending punctuation. While the meaning is generally clear, these errors are frequent enough to cause some difficulty for the reader. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
