Student answer (Band 5.5)
Many people believe that nowadays most of the private companies are funding in medical researches. It may be the great contribution to the medical field. While others argue that government should allocate the significant budget to such projects and is may be more beneficial for both nation and citizens. This essay will discuss both views before expressing my opinion on the later one.
One of the major contribution by the private companies into medical field is excessive use of the raw material. If there is more research in the nation their may be the better utilization of sources both human and natural herbs. Moreover, there might be the innovation in the medical field. As a result, consumer can get the medicine or any other medical tools in their own state. For example, most of the lungs and kidney patients are taken to India for their treatment. If there is enough funding through private companies, the consumer can get the treatment in time.
The major benefits of the funding by government in medical projects is satisfied and healthy citizens. But rather than budgeting in medical field the state is allocating more budget in roads and transportation. If government become able to allocate sufficient amount of budget in medical research then the citizens may get the proper treatment as well as the medical facilities. For instance, most of the citizens from the underdeveloped region in Nepal are under privilege of medical facilities. So, to get the healthy manpower to develop the nation government should funding enough in medical field.
In my opinion, to get the healthy citizens to make the wealthy nation government should funding in medical projects rather than private companies. Since, the citizen is the sources of country and wealth as well. government should protects the wealth to be developed enough.
In conclusion, nowadays most of the private companies are funding the medical projects which may contribute to the medical field. But the government should allocate the budget for medical researches in order to save the citizens as well as to make the developed nation.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both private and government funding, ultimately taking a clear position. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. The arguments regarding 'raw materials' and 'natural herbs' in the second paragraph are slightly unclear and lack a strong logical connection to the benefits of private funding. The examples provided, such as the reference to patients traveling to India or the situation in Nepal, are relevant but could be explained with more depth to fully support the argument. The position is consistent, but the reasoning remains somewhat superficial, preventing it from reaching a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central topic. There is a logical progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or repetitive (e.g., 'Moreover', 'For example', 'In conclusion'). Additionally, some transitions between sentences are slightly abrupt, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the phrase 'the later one' in the introduction, which is grammatically awkward. While the overall structure is coherent, the lack of sophisticated linking devices and occasional awkward phrasing limits the score.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey their meaning. There are attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'allocate', 'budget', and 'innovation'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'funding in medical researches' (should be 'funding medical research') and 'under privilege of medical facilities' (should be 'deprived of'). The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, and the errors occasionally draw attention, though they do not prevent the reader from understanding the main points.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, particularly with verb forms and articles (e.g., 'government should funding', 'the citizen is the sources', 'is may be more beneficial'). These errors are persistent and occur in both simple and complex structures. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors indicates a lack of control over complex grammar, which is a requirement for higher bands. Punctuation is generally acceptable, but the grammatical inaccuracies are noticeable.
