Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is often argued that, majority of big companies funding more into medical research projects. While some people believe that medical research has been done by private companies rather than government, I completely agree with the statement because of no budget issues and skilled employes.
The first reason why I agree is that research projects carried by private firms because it has many benefits, no fund issues, complete task on given time. many individual believe that private organisations had big budget in specific projects, and also all these firms had sponsors and investors, who help to fund in all this type of projects. Moreover, the majority of skilled employees were in private firms, and because of these majority of companies have experts and have great experiences thats helps to guid other through critical medical projects. For example, in India there is a hospital apollo hospital which are very famous and this firm have their own labs, they do research and making medicines.
Another reason is that doing research on something is very big thing and need so many efforts, and research is the thing, which can only done with proper and best teams. However, this can done by government or individuals, but authority do not have high funding and transparency, because of that research do not be done in proper way. For instance, almost 60% of globally research conducted by private companies.
In conclusion, I completely agree that medical research and research can be done by private firms rather than government of individuals because companies have skilled experts and proper tools and technology, also no funding issues, because of all this all the task are performed well and accurately compared to others.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of private funding. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention 'no budget issues' and 'skilled employees,' these points are repetitive and lack depth. The example of Apollo Hospital is relevant but could be better integrated to explain why private funding is superior to government funding. The argument regarding government funding is somewhat underdeveloped, relying on generalizations about transparency rather than a nuanced comparison. To improve, focus on providing more specific, logical evidence for your claims and ensuring each paragraph introduces a distinct, well-supported point.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'because of that research do not be done' and 'because of all this all the task are performed' create awkward transitions. Some sentences are disjointed, and the logical flow between ideas is occasionally interrupted by grammatical errors. To improve, use a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently,' 'furthermore,' 'in contrast') and ensure that pronouns clearly refer back to the intended nouns to improve the overall flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but remains quite basic and repetitive. You frequently use words like 'big,' 'things,' and 'firms' without much variation. There are also some issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'funding more into' instead of 'investing more in' and 'making medicines' instead of 'developing pharmaceuticals.' To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise, academic vocabulary and demonstrate a better understanding of collocations related to research and business.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'majority of companies have experts... that helps to guid'), missing articles, and incorrect verb tenses (e.g., 'research do not be done'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and verb tense consistency.
