Student answer (Band 5.5)
IN THE RECENT TIME, THERE ARE MANY RESEARCHES ARE DO IN MADICAL FIELD AND IT IS ALSO VERY IMPORTANT, PRIVATE COMANIES GIVE FUNDS FOR THESE RESEARCH PROJECTS. IN MY POINT OF VIEW, GOVERNMENT SHOULD CARRIED THESE REASEARCH PROJECTS. THIS WILL DISCUSS ON THIS TOPIC AND I GAVE MY OPINION IN UPCOMMING PARAGRAPHS.
ON THE ONE HAND, THE REASEARCH IS VERY IMPORTANT IN MADICAL FIELD BECAUSE IT WILL BE HELP TO SAVE INDIVIDUAL'S LIVES. PRIVATE COMPANIES FUNDING ON REASEARCH, WHICH IS VERY GOOD STEP BUT AFTERALL PRIVATE COMPANIES MOTIVE IS MAKE PROFIT WHICH IS THE VERY DIFFICULT FACTOR IN THIS FIELD. IF THE REASEARCH GET SUCCESS, PRIVATE COMPANIES SELL IDEAS IN VERY HIGH COST WHICH IS AFFECT ON INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR LIVES.
IN MY POINT OF VIEW, GOVERNMENT SHOULD FUNDING ON THESE PROJECTS. BECAUSE AUTHORITY'S PURPOSE IS NOT MAKE PROFIT, ITS PURPOSE IS GIVE BEST SERVICES TO THE PEOPLE. IN ADDITION, IF REASEARCH GET SUCCESS, GOVERNMENT HELP FOLKS TO SAVE THEIR LIFE BY PROVIDING LESS COST OF MADICINES. FURTHERMORE, IF GOVERNMENT INCLUDE IN THIS PROJECT SO, PRIVATE COMPANIES COULD NOT MAKE MONOPOLY. MOREOVER, GOVERNMENT WILL RUN CAMPEIGN FOR LEAST PRICE OF MEDICINES OF CRITICAL ISSUES SUCH AS CANCER, TB, KIDNEY FAILURES AND MANY MORE.
TO CONCLUDE, PRIVATE COMPANIES FUNDING FOR RESEARCH IN MEDICAL PROJECTS IS FOR PURPOSE OF MAKING PROFIT WHILE IF GOVERNMENT FUNDING FOR THESE PROJECTS, IT IS HELPFULL FOR SAVING INDIVIDUALS LIFE. AND I BELIEVE THAT GOVERNMENT SHOULD GIVE AUTHORITY FOR THESE PROJECTS AND HELP PEOPLES FOR THEIR LIFE INSTEAD OF PRIVATE SECORS COMPANIES.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear preference for government-funded medical research. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention the profit motive of private companies and the potential for government-led affordability, these points are not fully extended with specific examples or deeper analysis. The introduction is slightly repetitive and lacks a sophisticated overview. To improve, ensure that each body paragraph provides a more detailed explanation or a concrete example to support your claims, rather than repeating the same general points about profit and cost.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'In addition', and 'Furthermore'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'This will discuss on this topic'. The progression of ideas is generally logical, but the transitions between sentences could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that referencing (e.g., 'these projects') is precise will help elevate your score in this criterion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several spelling errors, such as 'MADICAL' instead of 'medical', 'COMANIES' for 'companies', and 'CAMPEIGN' for 'campaign'. Additionally, some word choices are imprecise, such as 'give best services' instead of 'provide optimal services' and 'folks' which is too informal for an academic essay. To improve, focus on learning accurate spelling and using more formal, academic collocations appropriate for the medical and economic context of the prompt.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('government should carried', 'many researches are do'), missing articles ('in medical field'), and incorrect verb forms ('government should funding'). While you attempt some complex structures, they are often faulty. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically the use of modal verbs (e.g., 'should fund' instead of 'should funding') and subject-verb agreement. Proofreading for common errors like missing articles and incorrect verb tenses will significantly improve the clarity of your writing.
