Student answer (Band 5.0)

In this era , most of the medical tasks are supported by private groups. In my opinion , these works should must be aided by government of our country not relied on private persons or any other public person of our society.

In these days most of the medical research works are assisted by the private companies of our society . According to my opinion it is a responsibility of government of that country in which research is going .However by doing this many people attain many facilities and providing it is most essentials requirement which is expected to government by individuals . When this work will done by the government many tasks will become easy by boosting the funding. And researchers could easily complete the work without waiting of funds and it will be helpful for public because with the new inventions a lot of easiness will be seeing. It would be a proud for that government and public of that country who won it.

On the other hand if this aid is given by any privates source such as private companies or by any individual . It will face a lot of difficulties in completing their task because It is not the responsibility of them rather then government . It will take a lot of time in finishing their work and It maybe cause any upset . It should must be done by the government .

By support of their government it maybe a lot of motivation for them and thinking about the hope that are connected to them will must give strength . By this thing they could easily completed their research programs.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear preference for government funding. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments provided—such as 'tasks will become easy' or 'it will be a proud for that government'—are repetitive and lack specific examples or logical depth. The essay relies on generalizations rather than exploring the complexities of why private funding might be problematic or why government funding is superior. To improve, you should provide concrete examples, such as the potential for private companies to prioritize profit over public health, or the role of government in ensuring equitable access to medical breakthroughs.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is often disjointed. While there is an attempt to use cohesive devices like 'On the other hand' and 'However', these are often used incorrectly or placed awkwardly within sentences. The referencing is sometimes unclear, and the flow between sentences is frequently interrupted by grammatical errors. The conclusion is missing, and the final paragraph feels like a continuation of the previous point rather than a synthesis of the argument. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance the coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. Phrases like 'medical research works', 'doing this', and 'this thing' are used frequently, which restricts the sophistication of the writing. There are several instances of awkward word choices, such as 'easiness will be seeing' and 'it maybe cause any upset'. To reach a higher band, you need to use a wider range of academic vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'public health initiatives', 'financial allocation', 'corporate interests', or 'scientific advancement'. You should also focus on using collocations correctly rather than relying on basic, informal phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede the reader's understanding. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'it should must be done'), incorrect verb tenses, and awkward sentence structures (e.g., 'waiting of funds'). Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, and the use of modal verbs is often redundant or incorrect. The range of structures is very limited, relying mostly on simple sentences. To improve, you must focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles and prepositions before attempting more complex structures.
